Thanks! I haven't heard of decorating Ponies before, but I love the idea of bigger G3's.

Thanks! I haven't heard of decorating Ponies before, but I love the idea of bigger G3's.
Here’s what I have:
I saw one on ebay yesterday, she's still in her box. If you don't use the "paints" on her I guess she wouldn't get any blotches. If she's being kept away from the sun her streaks hopefully wouldn't fade. Is she made of a hard plastic instead of the normal rubbery pony plastic? She's the only one as far as I know. I think she might be the same size as the Stylin G3s, but I'm not for certain. From what I understand you had "wands" that you put ice and hot water into and you could draw on her and she'd turn pink and blue. Unfortunately it doesn't age well, as I've seen others like her that have large, unsightly pink blotches.
She also has fading pink streaks, so I had to repink her. Star Catcher is such a lovely pony.
Yes it is!is that the new confetti @PinkiePie97 ? she looks so pretty
Yes it is!
Beautiful ponies cannibalcow! Did Hasbro actually sell their prototypes without mane and eyes? I thought they might have kept them in their archive? I've just been wondering about that: do they have an archive where they store every version of every pony ever made? Or even better: a museum?
love that SHS she looks so pretty and the little Noel is adorable as well. i have the HQCG1 boy too, i was gonna customize him, but i am not sure i can do it, he's quite cute
Thanks for digging that out, very interesting, I learn a lot about pony history these days. Well, even if they were produced after the original production had stopped, they still seem to be a very important piece of history, so congrats on owning one of them!they are from argentina and I believe in recent years it has come out that they are some kinda fakie situation where they were produced to earn money because argentina ponies started selling high. i don't quite remember all the details because i read it from a knowledgeable argentina collector on facebook, but i believe most if not all of these are a sort of fakie made only to get money.
ETA: I had a dig around and here is some information:
"All of the white body walking pose ponies and collectors pose ponies with different symbols on common bodies (example Cotton Candy’s body) were added after the original production had stopped. Like said above, this appears to have been done to capitalize on a sudden collectors market online. Some collectors still like these oddities so they do have a value, but they are not part of the original line or prototypes. "
"They were made using original symbol paint masks & materials, so they do look like a factory made item not a custom paint job. "
"As *name* and *name* pointed out these are not prototypes, they are factory remnants from the Novia (bride pony). You could find them in the wild by the dozens at one point, with and without the songster symbol, symbol could be either red or blue, often sold with an orange tail and a parlor hat (both things are factory remnants as well). Symbols are not original, but they were added using original paint and stencils same as with the collectors you find listed in the wiki, the reason for this is that some equipment and material from the factories were given as payment when the whole production shut down and people got fired. I not so long ago purchased from the son of a former employee a massive lot of parts and accessories including some unfinished whiskers cats with a super dark orange color. I would consider the painted ones as customs, the unpainted as factory remnants."
