Went to mcd's with the girls today and got them some happy meals. Mcd's must be getting rid of old toy stock, they gave us the 2011 rainbow dash with the comb/display things....my girls now have like 7 of these rainbow dashes....lol

 from 2011? i can't even get the ones from this year because they all sold out :p

Lol I know I checked the bags and they date 2011! Have to stop there again and pick up some more to pass out to people on here.

Happened to me too! I got 2011 Applejack instead of a new one :(

Some of us came in late enough to have missed the 2011 run of McD's ponies, so I'd say grab some if you still can and see who's looking for what still. Might even be able to trade for 2012 in some cases.

I haven't even found last year's McDs in the thrift stores yet. The kids must still like them.

I wonder if you can ask for this stuff. Does McD's sell their old toy stock or give it away if you ask?

As far as I know you can go in and ask for the MP toys and buy them. I do not know what they charge for just the toy, but in my experience, if you ask and they have then yes

I've found a few at Savers, though not all of them yet. They're the only G4s I've seen there though.

Some people who work at McD's have said that the stores try to send back what they don't sell, since it costs that branch to buy them in the first place. My guess would be that they can only send back unopened boxes. Wouldn't hurt to ask a manager in any case. Just go in off-peak hours.

When I ask just to buy the ty its usually like 2 bucks so its cheaper to buy the meal

That seems to make sense. I know some McD's workers who have kept that kind of stuff. Im just tired of the looks I get when asking for plastic toys with the food !
