Today, I went to a charity shop that I hardly ever go to because it's a bit out of the way, and they've hardly got any toys, but mostly clothes. Anyway, I was walking past it, and I thought I might as well go inside. There was a box full of little kids' toys in the corner, and I had a peek inside because we all know ponies like to hide in unlikely places. And there was a pony, sticking out its feet at me. I pulled it out at once to have a closer look and found that, strangely enough, it didn't have any symbols. They weren't rubbed off - they were missing completely. Next, I noticed that the pony had a weirdly squishy body, even though it was not a Happy Tail Pony.

By now, you've probably all guessed which pony I found, right?

Okay, I'll give you another moment...

...no, sorry, I can't wait. I'm too excited.

I found Bobbie!!

She's in pretty bad shape, though. Her hair is lovely and still rather pink, but she has a large glue stain on her neck joint and pink and orange marker spots. But she's still a lovely pony. So I took the bag of ribbons and flowers that the wonderful PonyMonster gave me in the Advent Calendar Swap on the Arena and made poor Bobbie look pretty again. She looks happy now, don't you think?

Bobbie is new to me! How cool to find her the way you did. I love those " I saw pony feet sticking out" stories. Can you explain who she is, in the scheme of MLP collecting?

I'm by no means an expert on rare ponies. As far as I know, Bobbie is a Happy Tail variant. The one with pink hair is the most common (there's yellow and blue as well). She's a Happy Tail variant because she's obviously in Tall Tales' pose and has her body colour, but no tail mechanism, even though her body is squishy like that of a Happy Tail pony.

Bobbie is usually found in the UK, but no one knows for certain in which form she was sold. We know of one person who has got one MIB. I've seen a picture on the Arena. It's rather bizarre. The poor Bobbie has a tail, but no mane, and three different combs as accessories. She came in a British Princess Pony box with Italian background art. Bobbie is not her official name; no one knows that. She was named Bobbie by Etherella, the author of the Pony Scrapbook, and the name stuck.

I've never heard of her, but she seems like a very special pony. Congrats!

That's awesome! Always a nice find!

Wow! Major congrats to you! That's definitely a find!
