Hey Everyone!
So I've decided to store my ponies in plastic containers.

I haven't been able to find the little moisture absorbing packets at the store, so should I cut a hole in the lid of the container so that moisture is not trapped? Or is it ok to store the ponies in the container as is?

Just want to make sure they'll be ok.

Thanks! :)

someone on here once suggested to make little baggies with kitty litter in panty hose to absorbs moisture. That's what I did and I have never had a problem.

They should be fine until you get your silica gel packets. The lids never seem to make an airtight seal, so you should be good as long as the ponies aren't put away wet or somewhere where they will get water inside the containers.

I had mine in plastic tubs and they were fine. I didnt have any packets in with them and moisture was not a problem at all. My only problem was mice got into my mom's basement and decided to live with and eat some of my ponies.

My childhood ponies were stored in a plastic bin for nearly 15 years with no special precautions taken and they were just fine when I got them out again! If I were to put ponies in storage again, I'd probably just put white tissue paper between them so dye from their hair doesn't transfer to other ponies' bodies or anything. But really, you should be fine :) They take up so much less space in boxes than on shelves!

I've been storing mine in plastic bins without silica packets for years and have never had a problem myself.
Just make sure that the ponies you are putting in there are bone dry!

I like the idea of the kitty litter in panty hose, I bet that would work really good!
