I wanted to warn everyone the danger of the stool purchased at Big Lots. My 5yr old was messing around with the stool and somehow her legs slid through the back of the stool and it folded on her, now since these don't fold up like the usual folding chairs her legs prevented us from opening it to get her legs out so we tried to slider her out, her poor little legs were turning colors. My husband wound up getting his tin snips from his truck and cutting the two folding bars. Since we moved fast enough she wound up with only a bruise across the back of her thighs. I will be reporting it to Hasbro today. I think these stools should have some kind of locking mechanism on them.

That is really awful!! I hope your little girl is ok. Definently contact Hasbro so that they might be able to issure a recall on the product.

Well I called Hasbro and the lady I got was so rude. I started to tell the situation and she was like "what did you say it was" in a it's to early in the morning for this tone. I told her a stool "she said we don't sell make stools here only toys" and I said "it has your mark on it" and she says "well we don't make stools here, only toys, so call whoever made it. I told her she didn't have to be a b---- about it and bye. So anyway the company is Idea Nuova Inc. They have already recalled one type of chair they make that came with a table set. I'll let you all know when I can reach them.

Oh how terrible!
Good thing you solved it so quickly.
But what a b**** you got on the thread there =/ I hope everything gets solved with the other company you can call.
Let us know.

That's terrible! It sounds like a really shoddy product. :(

I think MLP may be like Bratz and spawn a lot of shoddy products. They know if they slap an MLP on it it will sell more pieces after all, just like Bratz.

Sad, but true.

Hasbro just sold their product name to that company for that item. They have little to do with it after they get the cash. They should know if they have given their name to company with a shoddy product though. It was a dollar store item so I guess that explains it. *mad

You should report it to the Consumer Product Safety Commission. There is an online link to do this at www.cpsc.gov. You submit the report and then they usually call you to get more information. If there are enough complaints, they can force a recall.

Thank you for telling us Sweet Raspberry.
