moondancer help please

I just got a shoebox of ponies from a new in-law (she took really good care of them 80% are mint!) I got a Moondancer, so I compared her to the one I already have.

Mine has purple eyes The one she gave me has blue eyes.

Thats the only difference between the two. Is one a re-release?

Please help!!!
 
Hmm.. the Italian one has blue eyes, but I guess you would've noticed if she was italian as she has different hair and symbols too.

Maybe they have just faded?

That could be true, as my Majesty used to have lilac eyes, but they're now pale blueish.
 
At first I thought they must have faded, but they're dark blue! I know that red pigment burns out quickly, but that would have made them light blue.

They are in the same condition, so I'm just trying to figure out which one to keep.

Which one would you guys keep?

After I get my room cleaned up and the newest 100 ponies on display, I'll sit back and spend hours comparing little things like the eyes. I probably have tons of faded "variants," lol.
 
I would keep the blue eyed one, only because I like blue eyes better than purple *l*


I know nothing as to whether there were different releases or anything, sorry.

I will prob. keep the purple eyed one, her body is slightly whiter than the other.
