My mom was awesome and made me a Starbow cake! Yay!!

I got all the candles in one shot - 18 and one for good luck! Woo!

The cake was delicious, by the way. Mom's cake always is. She's had the pony pan since I was three :D Yesterday she also got me MLP balloons, cake plates, and a plastic cup...but I was like, "Mom, I'm 18, not three..." So we didn't use the plates and cup. But, as you can see, we did have three packs of those hard plastic ponies...which were excellent favors. Pony birthday v2! :D Yay!

It's rather funny. Check it out if you want to see my friends and I being silly as I wash a Denim Blue. It's a kind of large file, and you don't get to see the completed pony because her camera ran out of memory - but you see most of my process. And it's pretty funny. Em and I might re-do the shoot with less giggling and stuff just to have a tutorial. Enjoy :) And for the record, Denim Blue looks awesome now!

Very cool! Loved the video. Maybe later on you can show off curling techniques. I can never get the curlers to stay in my ponies' hair very neatly in their manes.

Nope, 3:58 was it. I continued the demo until Denim Blue was done, of course, but after 3:58 my friend's camera ran out of memory. I wish she'd gotten the rest!!
 
I have that same cake pan! My mom used it one year to make me a Glory cake. She made the horn out of Oreos and covered them in frosting to match the rest of the body. Your video was really neat to watch, seems like you had a great birthday :D
 
I love seeing the faces that go with the names and the avatars :) Now I get a bonus cookie, a voice! Video is cool, pictures are cute. Hooray for 18!! Enjoy it, because you've only got 1 more year of being a teenager! (20 sounds so oooollld lol) Happy Birthday from this Texas pony also! ^__^
 
That's awesome! Happy Birthday! When I was little I had Glory painted on a birthday cake. :) Also, last year for my sister's bday I put those pony cake toppers on her cake and she loved it. *stomach grumbles* I suddenly have a craving for cake now. :roll:

How cool! That was sweet of your mom. :) I would've used the balloons and things... and I'm going to be 23! Actually, my hubby and mom and step-dad have thrown me actual MLP b-day parties - w/ the tablecloth, cups, plates, etc.! :D 'Course, 18's a bit different, I guess, and w/ your friend's there... ;)
