I found all these ponies in under one week! Call me crazy I guess but I have been having pony fever since I found this site. All of them were in bags together or with fakies and they each cost between $1-$3.99 per bag, I feel like I scored GREAT!

What do you think? Some need some work, and some are for sale in another thread.

What an awesome haul!! I love that pony rush feeling, ha ha~

I was even more excited when I finally found some G1's. Baby Firefly looks like one of his front feet was bitten so I'll have to glue him shut and he also has some tail rust. Snuzzle, I think that's her name, the grey and pink one is missing a tail so I need to find her one and fix her up. I washed and shampooed them all but there are marks and grit I am not too sure how to get rid of to get their actual colours back or if its even possible.
When the cashiers asked me about all the ponies I was buying because I was pretty much clearing out the thrift store of all their ponies, I said they were for my 5 year old niece because she likes the "bigger" ponies better than the current ones. Haha, I wish I had the guts to just tell the truth! I do have a 5 year old niece, but the ponies aren't for her, I found her a disney princesses story book that HUGE and heavy and brand new for $2 when its worth $20.

Ha ha, I always tell people about collecting. I find that I can't help myself - I just love talking about my ponies so much!

Have you tried using those magic eraser sponges for cleaning? They safely go over the painted parts of the pony without damaging them. Of course, you should be gentle on the symbols (I wouldn't recommend cleaning glittery symbols with this, though) and eyes, but they really do wonders for cleaning!

Great score!

Thanks Derpy, I didn't even think of those magic erasers for use on the ponies, I'll give that a try.

Haha, I'm not shy at thrift stores.
People give me odd looks for rummaging through the toys and finding ponies.
When I first entered the store, the cashier asked me if I was a pony collector.
She now knows me and lets me know if she sees any ponies. xD

Wow, awsome haul! :D

For their faded colors, I've heard that a boiling Oxiclean bath gets rid of pretty much all dirt on ponies, enough to brighten their colors back up.

Thanks, I'll have to try that out too! :) And for making manes and tails, is there a specific type of hair I need to buy? Snuzzle needs a new tail.

dollyhair.com sells the same hair that the ponies already have, so you could use that if you want her tail and mane to be the same. you can get some samples that are close and then see which one matches, and order that. Post pics of Snuzzle's new tail when you're done. :)
