Dental floss....why dental floss? *Ish confused*
I just use a needle and hair...tie a knot by the eye of the needle, pull it thru the head, and snip the underside of the know, and pull the plug taught...

But anyway, WONDERFUL job! I like the way you did her hair
 
lol. yep. dental floss. I use the following method that was intended, i believe, to be done with thread, but dental floss is a lot stronger and won't 'seperate' as easily.

what I did. start with just the hair. cut to 2x the length plus a bit more for play room. pre-knot each plug (in the middle, instead of at the ends so that it is more secure and won't de-knot no matter what). put the needle (eye up) through the plug. thread dental floss in with loop on one side and thread tails on the other. pull needle through with pliers, making sure to only pull the 'loop' part of the floss through, leaving the floss tails outside the top of the ponies head. put pre-knotted hair plug through floss loop. pull floss tails, threading the hair into the plug. only the knot portion, obviously, stays on the inside.

I definitely know that there are better methods out there (and by better, I mean faster, but not necissarily more secure), but that is the way I was taught, so it is all I know. I want to try a rehairing tool, to see how I like it, but I hear it is not as rooted. I won't know until I try though.
