I actually made it for the cheap custom contest but lost my receipts during a move but anyway!

(wind picked up in this pic lol)

I used a baity Glory for this pony. Glory's body was badly discolored and her hair was so frizzy and stained it wasn't worth saving. With that in mind, I decided that covering up the pony completely was the only way to "save" it. Since using a lot of paint was against the rules, I ended up settling on using paper. Even though it's paper, I wanted to give the impression that it was soft and plush-like so I picked out some paper that had fabric prints on them. I curled the tinsel in the mane (by hand, individually!) but I left the tail's tinsel straight. I used tinsel for the hair mostly because I didn't luck out with finding any fake hair at the dollar store.

i think she's just fabulous! she looks like she's made of patchwork quilting and i love the use of the ribbon. i used ribbon once and it turned out ok but not nearly as good as yours did! just very prettys.

plus bonus for making a glory prettiful in my book :D

This custom is too adorable. It's such a shame the receipts were lost!

I agree with Pika. I would have loved to have put you in the contest. You would have done very well I think. :)

I loved the idea and I think it's fortunate you didn't find fake hair as I love the tinsel more than that!!

That's really cool! I love the paper you chose for her.

Wow,she's very unique and well done, especially for your first custom!!! Great job!!

She does look soft and "plushy" and the colors are great. Nice work.

It looks like a plush! How sweet!

Thanks everyone for the kind words. :)

I was actually very close to ripping out the tinsel at one point. lol I just felt like it was clashing with the plush feel.

wow that's really cool :)
