G1 My Little Pony N Friends storyboards and model sheets

Thanks to yanchagraffiti for buying and scanning, my website, the Sunbow Marvel Archive now hosts a large collection of storyboards and other material from My Little Pony N Friends.

All of the material was formerly owned and mostly drawn by artist Wendell Washer, who sadly passed away in 2022 and his archives sold off a couple of months ago.

So happy to see all this preserved. I sent Wendell Washer a fan email years ago and he was kind enough to write back and thank me. He wrote a pretty long email consider I was some rando stranger.

It's like a miracle seeing all this material come to light and get posted. I would never have guessed so much was saved! Those were the days when most studios would not have thought anyone would ever have been interested in seeing their production material, so they often just threw it away . . . Thank you, Wendell Washer, yanchagraffiti, and the Sunbow Archive.

These are so awesome, I love them so much. I love seeing concept and development art that go into making a project and sometimes I feel sad by how much must go unseen! :')

Thanks for sharing! It is awesome to see the concept art and storyboards. I sent the link to my daughter so she can use that page as reference as she’s planning to go to college for animation, and everything in that page is covered in the program.

Sorted and added a lot of the loose paperwork. Episode-specific model sheets for Baby, It's Cold Out Outside and Would-Be Dragonslayer. Rough storyboard plans for the songs of The End Of Flutter Valley, plus full plan for Quest Of The Princess Ponies Part 1. And to cap it off, model sheets for the Princess Ponies and Big Brother Ponies.
