My daughter tells me all the time, I just tell her that she's weird too.:cheshire: We're all a little "mad" here.

* face palm* ... ok, no offense to your mom, but I don't think she understands how charity shops work. The money you PAY for the toys GOES to helping underprivileged children (or whatever the specific charity is), which means that the more toys you buy the more said children will get.... If she bans you from buying ponies from goodwill she is actually the one taking needed money away from children, not the other way around...

Maybe you could ask to go look, and only buy a pony if you see something super HTF like a mimic?

Kind of a compromise lol

I just wouldnt want to see a nice pony being missed.... lol

This sounds fishy to me. I personally think there's more to the story than her wanting you to leave the ponies so other children can enjoy the "magic" of MLP. Sorry, but that sounds like a cover up for other reasons. Maybe she's embarrassed to be seen at the Goodwill? Maybe someone she knows works there? Who the heck knows...but, since you live under her roof, and she seems more than willing to pursue different avenues for you to obtain ponies, then it's not really that big a deal, is it? Every weekend I see HUNDREDS of garage sales and it kills me knowing that I'll never hit every one and WHO KNOWS how many ponies are sitting in bins waiting to be purchased for 10 cents each, lol. But I know there's always ebay and CraigsList and one way or another, I'll come across them in my search :) Good luck and happy pony hunting!

I gotta say something about this - please hear me out

for one, I am upset about this, because who is to say that there isn't someone else who will buy the toys and the kids won't get them anyway. I think if you have an interest in ponies, she should be helping you, not preventing you from being thrifty with your passion. Ponies are not the only toys that kids will play with and unless you stalk the store 24/7 then you have given the kids plenty of opportunities to buy whatever they come across. Things have been really dry here and I haven't seen too many ponies anywhere!
