My Pony Won't Stand Up!

I'm pretty new to collecting and I've started to make a few purchases through Ebay. Some of the ponies I've purchased have arrived in bubble mailers. I don't mind this so much, except it seems like those ponies have their legs bent in a way where I can't get them to stand up anymore. I was just wondering if this was a typical issue with My Little Ponies in general, or if it was because of the economical packaging and damage through the mail?

Also, is there any way to straighten out the pony's legs so she'll stand up again? I don't want to do any additional damage, but I do want them to be able to stand on my display shelf.

Thank you so much for any tips! You are all great. :)

Which generation? G1 ponies are made of a softer plastic then later gens and can bend a little bit easier if they've been stored and pushed down on. Someone suggested using hot water to soften the plastic and then either holding it together with a belt, if they're bent apart or placing something inbetween the legs so they'll return to the original mold.

Unicorns in the Buttons pose seems to be the biggest culprit, their back legs are more prone to being pushed together and because they have one hoof off the ground and are stretched out, they tip forward.

Ponies in this Glory pose sometimes have a problem where the raised front leg can be bent too close to the front leg on the ground, which can cause balance problems

I've had the same problem with my G1 Fizzy and my G3 Golden Delicious. It's so frustrating!
I stand by everything Leave A Whisper advised; placing something between the pony's legs is the method I usually use, and it works pretty well.
Also, to prop up your pony in the meantime, you can always lean her against another pony if you want. This will hold her up until you can get her fixed!
;)

I actually shoved a pink eraser between the back legs of my princess primrose and left it there for a long time to separate the legs. I took it out recently and now she can stand.

That answers a lot of my questions! They are G1 ponies...one in the Buttons pose and one in the Glory pose. In fact, it IS Glory I'm having a problem with! I've read through some Ebay listings and people have occasionally mentioned the softness of the plastic. I wondered if that was a condition the ponies sometimes develop or if it's just normal. I will try putting the ponies through some gentle "aerobics!" Ha ha

Thank you all for your very helpful tips! I really appreciate it! :satisfied:
