Need Help Making A Dream Come True!

I know I don't post here very often anymore, so asking for help from people here may be abit cheeky. But since it's not for me I hope that justifys it at least a little :)


I'm asking on behalf of my mothers significant other. Long story short, my mother has always loved rock music and years ago she used to manage a rockband. Her significant other plays in this rockband - called Grand Slam - and this is how they met :) Needless to say it's a perfect match since they both are very passionate about the music ^.^

It's not a very famous band, but they have made some apperances here and there in Sweden. And now they have a chance to play at Sweden Rock Festival this year which would mean the world to my mother and her SO. Sweden Rock Festival is one of the biggest music festivals here. Bands like Kiss, Alice Cooper, Mötley Crüe and Aerosmith has played there just to give you the idea of the big-deal-ness of the festival for rock lovers ;)

My mothers SO's band need to be voted into the top 3 though to get a chance to play there and this is where I want to ask for help - to vote them into the top 3 :)

The first round of voting will go on until February 3rd and people can vote two times per day / per IP address. But just one vote will of course be of help aswell to make my mothers and her SO's dream come true ^.^

So if anyone feel like helping out by just clicking on the link and cast a vote for Grand Slam - it really will mean the world to them :)

Oh wow is that their music when you click on the little arrow. My R2D2 is like I want that album how is that? That is the kind of music we loved as teens. They have our vote!
 
Well when I tried clicking the link myself on the Ipad it took me to their Youtube page which is indeed their music ^.^
My computer is how it is with playing things so here nothing comes up when I click the arrow except a white window XD

I wish you guys could have seen the look on my mums and her SO's face when I told them how I had asked you folks to vote and how you kindly had done so. Their faces looked like a childs on christmas ^.^ Full of pure joy, exitment and happyness.

Just thought you should know how greatfull and exited they are over what you guys are doing :smile:

I'll post an update here on the 4th about wether we got them into the top 25 and the next round of voting or not :)
 
I went ahead and posted this on FB. I have some friends who just love music and are in bands themselves. Perhaps they'll add some votes!
 
Since we are allowed two votes per day we have voted as many times as we could remember to do so. We are feeling hopeful. Oh and R2 passed the word on to some of his friends so more votes may be on the way from them.
 
The voting is over and, sadly, Grand Slam didn't make it to the second round despite everyones best efforts :(

While they're sad that they lost their chance to play at Sweden Rock Festival they are very, very happy about all the support, votes and kind words from you guys :) So in the end it all wasn't a total loss for them ;) And for that we wanna thank you guys once again ^.^
