Starting off with today’s find!
I went to a toy show at the mall, and while it was mainly Hot Wheels, Pokemon and He-Man stuff, I did find some G5s and a G4.5!
But those aren’t the find I wanted to post about! What was it?
Locally, there’s a fun little city-wide movement where you paint a rock and hide it to spread a little happiness to whoever finds it!
And who did I find hiding at the toy show…?
I got a Moonstone! Or a Moonrock??
The kind girl running one of the stalls had painted it and hidden it there, and when I found it, I think it was obvious I was a collector because I had a G1 pin or two on my bag, haha! She found out I collected (she said she had a few from her childhood still!) and of course, I asked if she had any for sale. She said she didn’t bring them because they don’t so well, but she said she’d let me know if she’ll bring them and other 80s girls toys for the next show!! (which is bad news, I’m starting a care bears collection apparently AND a rainbow brite one with the new stuff coming out it all works out though, I loved the reboots and reruns as a kid!)
Now— onto my grails!
I love Twinkle Twirl— she’s one of my favorite G3s! So when I found out this existed, I was crazy about her, she was so bizarre to me, and she seemed so rare then. After a few less-than-pleasant attempts at getting her, she’s finally home, and MIB no less!
And last but not least, later that week, as a treat to myself for getting through my exams— I got another grail!
The seller had sent me an offer, and after some thinking and some counteroffers, she’s also mine!
Quacker’s so hard to get in a great condition, so I didn’t really hesitate much to get this one! Her only flaw’s a cancer spot here and there, and a little head discoloration, but it’s not as bad as it seems! She’s finally reunited with her baby
