So here is the group I got from my friend last night. From left to right we have
Mimic, who will be restored
Peppermint Crunch, who can't stand up to save her life, no plans for her yet
Princess Sapphire
Scoops
First Base/Slugger, Gonna turn him into a rainbow mane unicorn.
In front we have:
Tangles, one half of a pair of twins, no plans
Baby Cotton Candy, No plans
What's everyone think? Good bait?

These do not look anywhere near bait yet. Clean them with soap and water, and put conditioner in their hair and most of them should be good as new. Just because they're dirty doesn't mean they're bait.

Seconding what Applejack said: These are not baits, they're just dirty ponies who need a bath!

Lovely ponies congrats :cheshire:

I'm not really a collector so I don't know what I would do with them, if I restore them what are my chances of selling them? At this rate I am never going to find anything to customize. lol

Clean them ...sell them... buy G3 ponies to make bait out of! G1's at this point should almost never be bait!

I am trying to find a pony with feet like Slugger for the unicorn I am going to make for a friend, the hairy feet were one of the things she requested since the unicorn was male. Slugger is insanely dirty I will have to take before and after pics of his makeover. I am finding baby wipes work great for surface dirt!

I have decided to restore Slugger and Mimic for sure. I am going to keep Mimic and try to sell Slugger. As for the rest I can't find any of them for sale online for more than $5, and no one is buying them so I am unsure about what to do with them.

Awww! That's a nice bunch! Divine and they'll be candy!

I would love some baits but I can't afford anything right now. Like we are seriously broke for a couple more months. I really want to start on my elemental ponies but I need an airbrush gun and some air dry clay, and it's gonna be a bit before I can get them.

I am just starting my first restore and although I will put her up on eBay when I am done I'm doing it more for the fun of doing so. Maybe someone will buy it but, if no one does, I at least had a blast with a $1 purchase from Goodwill and a bottle of acetone.

Careful with the acetone.. it can discolor the plastic.

I find that restore and bait mean different things to different people.. It is kinda based on what you feel comfortable doing and are capable of doing and can afford to do.

I have a 3 daddy baits. One has scratches and chews on him and one has cancer and the other lost his symbol and hair before I got him plus wobbles. I consider them baits and but I know some might say other wise if they had them
