New character! Need advice!

I was in poetry class when I thought up a new Pony character! I'm still working out the details, so any input would be welcome. I'd like to hear what people think!

Name: Do-Si-Do (like the country dance!)

Symbol: a pair of cowboy boots (and maybe a hat?)

Gender: This is one thing I can't decide. Do you think Do-Si-Do should be a regular female Earth Pony, or a Big Brother?

Body color: I was thinking very pale purple

Mane/Tail color: Well if we're going with an Earth Pony, I was thinking stripes of pale green, light orange, and pink (G3 style). If we go with a Big Brother type the mane and tail color needs to be one solid color with one color stripe. Which of the three colors I just mentioned do you think would work best? Maybe pale green with a light orange stripe? Or pink with a light green stripe?

I would be tickled pink if anyone wanted to draw their ideas for Do-Si-Do along with giving their opinion, but of course it's not necessary. I'm really just looking for some different ideas!

Hmmmm... I think it sounds like a she myself.

Mabye you can give her freakles like Applejack? when I saw the name I instantly thought of a spunky little pony with freakles on her cheeks. :lol: I'm weird..

Eeeeeeee!! That's adorable! Of course, all country gals need freckles! :wink:

Next question for people: if I made a pair, both boy and girl, and if the girl is named Do-Si-Do, what should the boy's name be?

Maybe for the boy he could be Box Step or What do they say? Alamand left? I don't know much about square dancing...

Ahahaha!! That's great, guys! I love it! Alamand would sound like a cool foreign name for the boy. Promenade would be good too!

Soccer: Yes, I totally agree she should have braids!

Sounds like a pony idea that I actually had. I can't remember the name though. But I wanted to call her Illusions after a country line dance club I used to go to all the time.
