New MLP's G4?

I took a look at the new My little ponies for sale not really my cup of tea but are the still being called G3? If so I think they should be G4 as they have changed just like our G1"s changed and we called them G2's and as our G2's changed to our present G3. So is it time For a G4?

If they are already being called G4's please tell me!

That's what I'm calling them.. Idk what everyone else is. What do you think of them?
 
I believe Hasbro has been quoted still calling them, G3s.
Some collectors are calling them G4s, G3.5's, or G3s.
It's really up to you, there is no one correct term. :D
 
They look like G4's to me. I personally like them :) But I love everything pony. I could not find one pony that I couldn't love :p
 
I really dont consider them to be G3's, they dont look at all the same. I consider then G4 because they really are the 4th Generation. but its up to you. I think G3.5 is kinda cute for it. lol.
 
Wow, i did'nt think i would get so many replys. but g 3.5 is cool, but i think there really G4's no matter what hasbro calls them because there quite different to the other G3's. Thanks for your replys!
 
i call them G4s, just so I can differentiate in my checklists
 
G4 for me too - or "gories" cos I hate them!!! But thats just me. Really dissapointed at Hasbro :( But they may revert back, you never know!
 
i've been calling them "PONYZ", because they seem very bratz-like with their enlarged eyes and heads and tiny bodies. but i think they're still technically g3s. just not, like, good or anything.
 
if they have to be called anything, I prefer G4. They're by far not G3.
 
I do admit im not a fan of them! they did bigger heads and smaller bodies because there easy to draw someone pointed this out to me. I really am sticking to G1 as hasbro really made kids happy, but now they are just in it for the money have you seen the official site its to complicated for me to find stuff and im a computer maniac!

See for me they're still G3's as they're still the same characters that existed in the G3 line. They may look different but they still form part of the G3 line. If you look at all the different lines that existed in the G1 run, if we called each pony that was different another generation we'd have loads by now.

These still have the same ponies and the same logo so they're (to me) still G3's. I don't like them but they still go under the heading of G3.
 
I call them G-Fores... cause I'd like to practice my golf swing with 'em
 
God, I just saw them yesterday at ShopKo. I didn't really like the original G3's... But... Ponies don't have basketball shaped heads... They don't even really look like horses anymore. Things with giant heads bug me. I had a million Littlest Pet Shops when I was a kid, then I saw the news ones... Same thing here.
 
I agree with Archer. I've been calling them the new G3's...as they haven't changed the characters yet. When G1's moved to G2's they got new characters. G2's to G3's they got new names. But these ones are still the normal core 7 ponies. So I'm just calling them G3's. *shrugs* To each their own! :)
 
Yeah, I don't think they're G3s really, who knows.
 
G3.5!

I heard someone call them something quite fitting the other day, but I can't for the sake of me remember what it was! If I do remember I'll post it here! But I previously called them G3.5's... they're G3, but they're freakin' wierd. I personally don't collect them, but I guess if they're your thing... honestly they just annoy me. They don't look like a horse, or a my little pony anymore, but they're all I can buy in stores, grrr!
