New pony room a work in progress

I cant wait to see it finished!! :D
 
So we have run into a problem people :(

i have been out searching ever hardware store and flooring store near me and i can not get pink tiles anywhere.

the samples that i had were from the usa and they cant even special order them where i live.

i wont be going into the usa for a while because my passport is expired right now and it has been brought to my attention that i will be paying massive duty taxes when bringing back floor tiles from the usa. so........

it looks like i will have to pick another pony building to model my room after, im not to thrilled about this but maybe you guys can help me pick something else?
 
Here i am sitting here trying to think of a pony building alternative.

lets see....

perm shoppe has a pale peach / pink floor?

lavender dream castle has a pale green floor

nursery has a yellow floor

show stable has a pale blue floor

home sweet home has a purple floor

megans place has a pale green floor

perfume puff palace has a light pink weird floor with blue trim

boutique has a green floor

uk kitchen has a yellow floor

paradise estate is pink floor

uk waterfall is green


now is the lavender and green dream castle, the boutique and megans place the same green flooring?

i kind of like the idea of a uk kitchen pony room ?

baby nursery

lavender dream castle

Megan place

show stable

boutique

g2 kitchen

they have yellow, green or blue floors that i can get.
 
Oh dear, that is a bit of a bummer.
I cant help you choose because i dont know what the other pony buildings look like, but im sure no matter what you go with it will look great! :D
 
I have a thing for lavender walls with white shelves and ponies. :) I have some of the white shelves.... eventually I'll have lavender walls (with pink trim)


So, my very biased vote goes to the lavender dream castle or megan's place. Both of which would use the green tile floors, correct? Your room is going to be amazing! I'm still soo happy to see that rescued giant Sundance you have. She's going to look so awesome watching over her little pony kingdom.

I like the idea of the lavender walls of the dream castle too!! With the green floors it would look fantastic!! Though I'm sure what ever you choose will look great! Megan's Place would be a great option too, especially since you have that Super Awesome Sundance!!! Good Luck, can't wait to see what you do!

hi guys :)

i admit the lavender and green combination would look great. I am just wondering how i can incorporate the dream castle accessories in my pony / computer room ?

i did once do the pink dream castle as a pony / bedroom before, where i painted the walls pink with those designs of the top of the castle walls, it looked ok.

i am going to have to check out the dream castle stickers for the lavender version and see if i can incorporate those designs in the pony room

also one thing to consider is the computer desk is in the shape of a corner or boomerang or L shape so whichever house i choose it needs to have an accessory i can make the desk into
 
If it were me, I'd paint the desk the same colour as the walls and then add say white pailings, like the fences from megans place (cos that's what I'd choose) or just pink like the Dream castle table, if that's the way you go.
 
I agree with Stormness 1 .... Megan's Place would be a great choice, especially since you've already done the castle. I like the idea of blending the desk with the walls and you definitely need to add those fences somewhere. But there are so many things to choose from in Megan's Place. There is a table with a red & white checkers cover, the stove and the dresser with the mirror above it. I think any of those would be great use of the desk too. It would also be neat if you could get a rug or two like the stickers on the floor. A Latch Hook rug wouldn't take too long to do like that. There are so many stickers in there, I think you could pull from any of them and it would look great!!

im going to pick your brains a little here LOL

would you guys know if the stickers for the pink castle are the same for the purple castle?

and does anyone have pics of the megans place stickers?

i got to go search
 
i keep sitting here and looking at my empty desolate packed up ponies in boxes and it makes me sad :( but then i start thinking the pony building i choose also needs to be able to incorporate into 3 d.

so if i did the dream castle this time i could make 3d turrets in the corners of the pony room. wouldn't that look awesome?
 
If nobody else has them, I'll try and get some Megans place photo's uploaded tomorrow. Mine has all the stickers inside. :) It's a cute little building.

The stickers don't have much to work with, but you could always make a aqua weathervane pony and place her on top of one of the bookcases or make aqua trophy cups to hold pencils for your desk. :) There's also the pink hooks at the back of the building too.

thank you for posting the pictures of megans place, it is interesting to see that the walls have 5 different patterns on them :)

so im thinking purple dream castle as well and make 3d stand out turrets for the walls, the windows can be shelves.
 
This is so cool... I'm really excited to see the progress pictures once you choose the room! I've never seen anyone do something like this before :D

I found a green tile that will look nice once i get it all finished. Here is a picture of the green, the camera is not picking up the proper color. the tile is actually a lighter green and when you wax these tiles they turn even brighter.

I also found the matching lavender color to the dream castle today, it is called Vesper by the cil company. It matches the castle i have almost exactly.

i am currently in the process of painting my pony room now.
