New Ponyville Serve Snacks with Sweetiebelle , Get Pinkie Pie ready for Bed

No, Hasbro... no!

Come away from the Dark Side!!!

Not sure if I will get them or not... o_O

I would buy the set if it was called "Get Pinkie Pie Ready for a Dirt Nap." *WEG*

Errrr......just no. Ponies are ponies. If i wanted to collect things to dress up and do 'normal' things with i'd collect barbie.....Ponies are supposed to be horses that have fantasy adventures like the G1's did.

Theys guys remind me of the pony tales storys - i9 think thats cute -

Silly question what does anthro mean?

Oh man, now I stared to wonder if a little girl that only has the new wave of this "only clothes" ponies see my G1 or G2 is goin to think that they are boring, plain, nacked, and look too mush like a horse and they aren't real hasbro ponies.

:cussing:

agree, but what's ironical is that Barbie has the fantasy fairytopia line, and now the fantasy is almost gone from the ponies and beacoming more a fashion doll >->

WHY is she standing on her hindlegs?? :eeek:

She is a My Little PONY for Christ's sake! The new babies look like the new big baby ponies so I can sort of see their relevance, but that Pinkie Pie is just plain wrong.

I'm disappointed. Very, very disappointed. :nodno:

I think they are kinda cute. I must admit when I first saw them they were a little freaky, but now... kinda cute is all I got.

If what's wrong is the fact that they are wearing clothes and doing more "human" things, what's the difference between these and the other Ponyville that are serving ice cream or palying musical instruments, etc. and the MLP that wear clothes? Is it the fact that they are standing on their hind legs that is freaking people out?

Not sure if I would buy them for my daughter. I'd have to see if she liked them first.

almost looks like hasbro is trying to tap into the fashion polly success. which would have been fine had they just left them as PONIES

See i've never liked that side to the new G3's. I always see ponies as the original G1's in that they go on adventures ina fantasy land totally different to ours. But at least with the G3's if you didn't like the side to them that served ice cream and stuff, you could just buy the pony without the accessories. This just seems a step too far and is slightly disturbing lol.

I think that it is maybe a throwback to Tales, they didn't run around on all fours all the time. It'd be pretty cool if they were to release Tales onto DVD here in the States *HintHINT Hasbro*.

The hey? Okay, those would be cool if they were pose-able, so we could have them standing on all fours again, instead of two. If not, they're just creepy. MLP meets Poly Pocket? :frog:

wow, they're getting more anthro by the minute! :eeek:

Awwwwwwwwwww!!! Those are sooooo adorable,I love them! Definately getting those sets!

I love them! I love them! Finally something new that I actually want! :yay:

God-Awful New Ponyvilles

I. Tacky Set Design
a. More weird Ponyvilles, which are becoming the line's focus.
b. More stupid, easily lost accessories.
c. More Core 7 reissues.
i. Most children and collectors alike like collecting different characters and forming a herd. It's harder to make a herd of Pinkie Pies than it is a group of regular ponies.
d. Awful, unappealing clothes and redundant themes.

II. Poor Choice in Characters
a. More reissues.
b. More Core 7 characters.
c. Another weird Pinkie Pie.
i. Nobody likes seeing another Pinkie Pie.

III. Akin to Barbie
a. I hate Barbie.
b. I hate Barbie.
c. MLP is becoming more like Barbie; stereotypical characters, predictability and rote, and unbelieveable amounts of gimmicks on the same 7 characters.
d. Did I say I hate Barbie?
e. The line is focusing more and more on Pinkie Pie.
i. Pinkie Pie is the perfect epitome of a little girl. She would easily be the rosy-cheeked, blonde/blue eyed, innocent, friendly, frilly-dress-wearing, popular, perfectly stereotypical little girl. Pinkie Pie is very much like Barbie, in that she is "perfect", overreleased, and focused on way too much.
f. Pinkie Pie has no educational value. Even Barbie had a school set, I think.

IV. Ponyvilles Are Creepy
a. They are easily lost.
b. Their hair is impossible to comb.
c. They bear more than a passing resemblance to LPS, which is doing suspiciously well...
d. They don't have the same charm as a regular-sized pony.

V. PONIES SHOULDN'T STAND UP!!!
a. They are ponies, not Barbie dolls!

This would make my Honors WS teacher very proud of me. Take a hint, Hasbro.

I have to say, seeing this is reaffirming in my head the "I don't like G3" stand I've had for some time.

They started to reel me in with the tribal looking McD ponies. Those were neat, unique, and still 'pony.'

Sure, Sweetie Belle looks like she just killed all the other Happy Meal toys to get teh ponies where they are, but I just won't get her.

Ponies standing up, dressing like people, using all the little gizmoes people use....no thank you. I never really liked pony clothes and accessories when I was little. I loved the buildings, but I never understood the couches and beds and cribs. To me, ponies didn't use furniture like that. Pillows, sure, you wanna be comfy, but mine slept on piles of pillows and blankets, not in cribs and beds and couches. Clothing had to be really easy to put on, mostly capes and hats, nothing with buttons and tight fitting, how would they do them up? They have hooves, no fingers and thumbs.

The more of Ponyville, and tthe baby pony things...I see, the more a part of me wants Hasbro to just stop all together.

But that's my opinion on the whole thing, if people like them, that's great. They aren't for me, and never will be. I like ponies to be ponies, not little girls as Hasbro once said they were.

Ironically, Sweetie Belle was the ONLY pony I wanted of that set and you saying this just makes me want her all the more. MURDERING SWEETIE BELLE PONY. I like it. I'll turn her lose on these new monsterous creations.

That said, these with their little shoes on only their back feet, standing upright, in little tween clothes... is just offensive.

Hasbro, you blow.
