Spent wayyy too much money on a large (edit: HUGE) lot of ponies on Ebay.. Figured I'll have that much fun cleaning them up. I can't wait until they get here, I'm going to post before and after pics! This makes up for not buying any G1s for the last year...
Here's some of them... I IDed all of them right after I won them. Boyfriend thinks I'm insane..

A whole year?! What fortitude! ; 0-)

Edit: WHOA! And now that the pic's up... lucky lot buy, you!
I can't wait to see the finished result : 0-D It is fun fixing up dingy ponies (though I'm not really sure why--and maybe I'd be better about house cleaning if I could figure it out : 0-P ).

omg. Is that Baby Crumpet! And Baby Rainribbon! Wow. Good job. I love buying dingy lots and fixing them up.

yup, and baby Princess Sparkle too! I have so much fun fixing up ponies!

Ooh, I see Baby Starbow in there!...but she's brown o_O;;; That's a lot of ponies! You have a lot of cleaning to do...but I bet they'll look dazzling once you're done ^_^

I IDed 119, not including the petites. I think I'll have the most trouble with the white ones, because I always have bad luck with them going yellow on me. There's a number of ultra manky ones in there I can test some new cleaning theories with!

Not quite so much as my CB Starshine from Manna... X 0-D I thought she was a different pony from the pics, lol. *plans to post a huge lot of brag pics soon*

I love cleaning baby ponies up, have fun!

Re:

If I knew great ways to clean ponies up I would do just the same ;) It looks like there's a lot of great ponies in that lot as soon as they get cleaned up. Can't wait to see our after pics =)

awsome

That is one awsome lot. I was bidding on it, but I knew unless I had some great luck $170 wasn't going to cut it :p Ahh I figured it was worth putting in a bid anyway.

I love cleaning up huge lots and seeing what gems are hidden in them.

I am mainly a G3 collector now, but there are still the few G1's that I want and I also have a friend collecting so I usually sell what she wants out of the lot at cost, then pick what I want and resell the rest.

Let us know how all the pretties clean up!

I just heard from my Dad that they're at my parents' house. I'll go pick them up Saturday. I'm so excited to get them!

OMG You have a baby Splashes! *reaches for it* That was my first pony in my original collection. Oh I wish I could find one I could own.

I'm waiting for Skyflier to post pictures of our pony cleaning party. I just finally finished washing them tonight, and they are finally free from surface dirt. Now to the nail polish remover and magic eraser. What a load of work!

*hugs* But in the end they'll be so nice it'll all be worth it... : 0-J Hope they fix up, well, anyway. Saw that feedback post...awww.
Pony cleaning party. X 0-) That's my idea of great fun, sad to say.

Oh, mine too, but I got an infection in my left thumb because I didn't wear gloves, which I should have. Some had enough mold inside to glow a herb garden. Skyflier posted some pics to her site, but I'll have to resize them before I put them up here.

Owch. x.o;; Note to self to snag some gloves before I go collecting and scrubbing any really manky flea market ponies...yyuuuck.
Hope your thumb gets better soon!
