NYC Toy Fair 2013 Thread (tons of pics)

Toy Fair started up today. I'll update this thread with the newest info.

Big things that we didn't know before.

$50 Deluxe Twilight Sparkle: Deluxe Princess Twilight Figure in Action – My Little Pony G4 Merchandise
She's that expensive for a reason. She's pretty big, has a lot of motors and lights in her, and quite a few analog sensors. Her voice box isn't Tara Strong, which is to be expected. She's coming out in fall as part of the Crystal Princess Celebration line.

New Brushables:

From the Crystal Palace playset. She's got hard, moveable wings. Pretty cool clothes, too.

Diamond Tiara, Lyra and Derpy Hooves

After Derpygate, I'm surprised that they made her! But she's really cute. Also first playful pony filly with a cutie mark.

Shining Armor, Chrysalis and Cadance

SA has painted hooves, but still has troll hair. QC has the "holey" look through paint.

Lyrica

Background pony. Cool paint job

Shadowbolt Dash

Unique molds for QC, Lyrica, Octavia

Tons of unique molds. Serpent is trademarked "Steven Magnet", Fluttershy has her own mold finally, and Rarity has a new head mold and a short tail.

Same mold as Celestia and same wings as Cadance. Awesome wing material. She still has a button, does she talk?

All there is at this point is pictures, so we have to infer things. Two of my friends are going down tomorrow and will ask tons of questions, so that should clean things up.

Compared to last year, I'm super excited. 2012's toy fair didn't have as much cool stuff as this one. 2011's just showed again stuff that was already out, and 2010's only had that one gift set.

I'm ready to pay so much for NMM (even though she's probably just going to be $20).

Now I want her for my Kathleen Barr army! But she's probably gonna be an exclusive and come out in some multipack or something with a bunch of ponies I already have and sell for TONS of money on her own because she's flippin' popular. SIGH.

Lol... I was actually kind of hoping they wouldn't make a toy of her because of this. ^^; That's the reason I passed on Nightmare Moon...

That aside, though, no Discord yet. Sigh. But the possibility looms closer! I mean, look at all of that! Blind bag size Twist, Silver Spoon, white Celestia, Chrysalis, Nightmare Moon, Octavia, Flim/Flam, the Manticore, the sea serpent, new molds for Rarity and Fluttershy...

...Wait, that's all blind bag stuff! My major complaint with G4 still stands.

...Though official brushable Derpy is a plus (though I don't care much about Derpy in general). Heck, all of this stuff is pretty sweet, I gotta say! Definitely better than last year, that's for sure.

I gotta look for pics of the rest of the fair!

So QC is going to come out in a pack with Diamond Tiara, Shining Armor, Cadance, Lyra, Lyrica and Derpy? ...Uh... I guess that's better... Sort of. I'm betting Derpy is going to jack up the pack's price for us folks who don't have a U.S. Toys R Us near. :/

And mystery sun pony is pretty curious... I just can't tell if she's an earth pony or a unicorn. Would the mask stay on properly if she had a horn?


Maybe there's going to be a masquerade based episode somewhere down the line. That seems to be the rule they're going with the toys...

Super excited about toy fair this year! I'm so happy to be getting Queen Chrysalis toy and a brushable Derpy! The large Nightmare Moon looks great too! I hope they give her different things to say than what Cadence and Celestia do. I love the Shadow Bolt Rainbow Dash. I think its great they even added the stitches she had on her Nightmare Night costume.

I haven't been that interested in the Design a Ponies, but I need that Luna! Of course I need all the Lunas.

And its great to see all the characters we will be getting blind bag sizes of. I never thought we'd see a Stephen Magnet toy.

Is that black pony the "Queen of the Changlings" ? She's so cool! I like a lot of those ponies. Oh dear... my G4 list is still growing.

If I was a kid, I would have begged my parents for that Twilight Sparkle that does all that moving and singing! I am a little sad that it's not Tara's voice. How come it's not? Does anyone know? I may cave and buy her when I get another job. Maybe. I have been resisting a lot of G4s.

The Masquerade ponies will be the Crystal Princess Celebration singles. It's possible she's a unicorn under there; I haven't seen a unicorn with the mask yet.

Awesome such amazing Derpy Hooves brushable! Queen Chrysalis, and Diamond Tiara, and everything I saw these yesterday and flipped out! Everyone please go tweet and message them on facebook, saying we want more boy brushables Big Mac, Soarin, Royal Guards, Males Ponies, Snips, Snails, Pipsqueak, Sombra, Discord, Braeburn, Thunderlane, Doctor Hooves, etc. Oh and CHANGELINGS!

Now as much as I love Queen Chrysalis and totally amazed they are making her I do hope they will make her more accurate the blind bag one even looks better!! She needs real holes in her legs, all fours on the ground would be nice, bigger eyes, correct wings, teeth fangs for sure, ears correct, and the little flower headpiece thing she has, and skinnier!.. Please people contact them and tell them we want her to have her own mold and not just use Nightmare moons........ See this Chrysalis is perfect!

Two of my friends from The Round Stable went to the Toy Fair yesterday, so I'll have better pics of the Aurora plushies soon, as well as some Enterplay stuff as well.

The Hasbro "booth" was in a separate building from the Toy Fair and you had to make an appointment well into advance to go see them; they were all filled up well before my friends could go see them. So it's highly unlikely that we're going to see any new/better pictures of the Hasbro merch.

It's a shame that Chrysalis is the same mold as Nightmare/Celestia, but some customization will fix that right up! *pulls out drill and Xacto knife*

More characters and individual Shining Armor makes me very happy. Boy ponies for customization!
