This is the official Make your own card christmas card swap. People can sign up until Thanksgiving day. Which usually is the last thursday in november in the Us. If your interested in joining please post here with a list of your top 5 fav mlps. So people know what ponies to draw you, personas count.

You don't buy gifts and you don't buy cards. You make them. I think this is cute and not expensive way of having some fun. I would like to pair people up with someone in their own country or area.

You are going to be making one card for one person. The partners will be picked at random. So its fair to everyone.

Be as creative as you want with your cards. After you get them in the mail. Post pictures of the card you got. If you can of course. If you don't feel comfortable drawing you can use others lineart with the original artist approval only.

Oh course personas could be on the list silly. It doesn't matter if your not good at artwork. Its the thought that counts. And I bet your better then you think.
 
I think this is an awesome idea, I would be in for sure!!

I am the absolute worst at drawing anything. Maybe I could use a lineart to outline the pony and draw in the symbol myself? :eek:k:
 
You can use lineart as long as the artist of the lineart doesn't mind. Like I said before its not about how good you draw. Its about the holiday spirit and the thought that counts. So far four people including myself. Any others?

Oh yes, I would most definately ask the artist first. That is a definate must!!

When I say I can't draw, trust me I really mean it. It would look absolutely nothing like a pony and more of like a blob with hair. I couldn't torture someone with a Princess Pinkstar designed card at Christmas time. They would be ROFL at my lame attempt.

In High School I chose art as an elective and after 1 week I was told to choose another subject, because I would fail this one. (true story)
 
I don't know what teacher told you that. That is horrible. What a crappy teacher. That had nothing to do with you, that was all the teacher. That makes me mad that someone said that to you.

Its a art teachers job to teach how to draw. Anyways I'm sure someone will love your card.
 
You can post your top 5 favorite ponies any time. I probably should make a sign in close date I guess. Never done this before so please everyone have patience with me. But its very early still so lets try to see if any other members want to join. I'm probably going to make the cut off date about thanksgiving. That way everyone has a chance to start working on their cards early. I'm major excited to be doing this. I will pick partners at random. If anyone else is interested please just post. I'm so glad, we have five people so far. Excellent.
 
when is thanksgiving in the USA? is this open to international participants? I would be interested if it was open to Canadians... though I will warn you... I am a really bad artist who thinks she can draw and regularly attempts to.... and I have to say... PrincessPinkstar?? I want one of your personal designed cards!!

Yup its open to international people too. I might try to pair you with another international person so it doesn't take you so long to get your card. If no other international person signs up, then I'll probably end up doing your card and sending out early. So yes its open to everyone. Thank you for signing up.

Awww...thanks sweetie, that's a lovely thing to say!! I'm sure I can come up with something nice if I really really try.

Just wondering how many cards we can sent out? I'd love to send/receive more than one, but I'm not too sure how many people would actually want to send to Australia if no more Aussies sign up.
