I've been calling this girl *Hot Pink Ice* for lack of a better name.
She is for sale so I'll leave it up to her new owner to give her a proper name.

She was made from one of the Family Dollar Sparkle fakies and I have to say that they are a pain to work with. I had to drill a tail hole and add an extra row of hair plugs. Despite the fact that I continually put off finishing her I think she turned out well.

HPI was given a gradient of white and her snowflake symbols are painted with a deep metallic purple (I was trying to match Hematite) and accented with white dots.
Her wings are made from vellum and coated with glitter. She has hematite seed beads wrapped around the base of her tail & wings and she's been rehaired with Dollyhair's Blizzard with streaks of Hematite. Her head turns so she can be displayed on whichever side you choose.

If you're interested in her, please PM me with an offer.
She's been sold. :)

That is awsome!! how did you do the gradient on her legs? that is very cool!

*gasp* She's lovely! Hasbro can learn a thing or two from you!

Oh my....She's Gorgeous! She looks like she'd glow if you turn the lights off!

Wow, she's gorgeous, Pop!

Just gorgeous! If I had any money to spare I'd so make an offer. As it is I'll just gaze at her longingly.

Thank you!

She's been sold and now half my hotel room is paid for!
I'll see you all at the fair. ;)

I'm in love! That is so amazing beauty! Love the colours and those wings..

How do you make those? Is there a guide or something where I could learn to make those?
And pony herself.... do you use airbrush? Paint is so smooth! I never get that with normal brushes..

She is just beautiful! Congrats to whoever bought her.

She is absolutely beautiful! Makes me so jealous.

When I saw this pony my jaw dropped. I had to show it to my boyfriend, who's not a pony person...but he was also really, really impressed. She's just gorgeous all over. I'm particularly a fan of the gradient around the eyes, but the wings, and the colors, and the little snowflake details...just...wow. Beautiful, beautiful work!

Thank you for the lovely comments. :)

salamandra, I believe it was Piper who posted a link to a website where you can download free wing patterns. I use them all the time but change the colors in PhotoShop so that they better suite my customs. Sometimes I use acetate but these particular ones are printed on vellum and sealed with many layers of Mod Podge.
The gradients are airbrushed. Brushes are great for eyes and symbols but I'll never use one again for gradients or full body paints. ;)

Your hard work definitely payed off...she is so beautiful! I always love your work!

Very gorgeous custom! I wish I'd seen her sooner! But congrats to her new owner. :hugegrin:I never thought I'd say this, but some of those fakies are actually pretty cool color-wise.

I think you've inspired me to go and search out some of those glitter fakies...and I've already said what I think about this custom, so I think I'll just stare for a bit @_@
