Haisley (G1) was originally a birthday present for my oldest sister. She has admired my customs but has never asked for one. I waited awhile to do her's because it had to be a G1 because my sister likes the older stuff. Haisley is a birthstone pony. Her stones, blue & gold topaz, were created with glitter blends and Mod Podge outdoor. She is styled after ladies fashion. My sister loves those bright, jeweled, busy patterned shirts. Besides paisley I also worked in hearts and flowers. My Mom encouraged me to enter some of my ponies into the Utah State Fair so Haisley was entered into the fair as early birthday surprise for my sister. She was very surprised.
Someone fell in love with Haisley and had to have one of her own. I used a G3 bait this time. Another birthstone pony; moonstone. The pattern is not as busy, but I did give her a pretty 3D flower cutie mark with dangling butterfly. In the design I worked in plants and a necklace. She does have two matching companions. I started painting the purple one then changed my mind and decided to make it pink. Not wanted to leave the purple one unfinished I completed it.
The look so similar that I refer them as sisters.
