Pay toilets should be illegal. They're a cruel thing for someone with no change and full bladder.

I'm just now starting, but expect to be through with the first stage pretty quickly. I can't tell you all how excited I am about seeing and drooling over all the ornaments we'll be seeing!
 
I wish I had signed up for this swap, this sounds like so much fun!! Well, next year I'll be first in line! (so long to wait....... urgh) I will be stalking this thread from here on out for sure!Or the brag thread as soon as it's up and running!

EEEkkkk, pay toilets!! I guess they have to pay for the upkeep some how, I know I've been in a few public toilets that could use a really good scrubbing down, I'd rather go potty in the bushes then use some I've seen. And have! :unsure::blush:

Not like everyone just happens to have Euros on hand... bad enough we don't alway have right change for parking meters much less right change AND currency for a loo!!!

Putting the finishing touches on my ornament during my holiday break and wrapping up all the other gifts!
 
I'v actually been done my ornament for a while! I also picked up some goodies to go with it. I just gotta ask my mum to pick up some modge podge so I can seal it and it shall be done.
 
So how is everyone else doing on their ornaments? Hopefully you're all having lotsa fun getting it all ready!
 
I've been so preoccupied with that costume for the year-end function that I didn't have a chance to do anything for the ornaments yet. :oops: I have a few things tracked down but I'm still trying to source some of the materials, and then I need to go buy/collect them. It's hard without transport! :confused: I'll try get everything done by the weekend, though. I still need to check what's going on with the postal strike, last I heard my closest sorting center was still not operational.
 
It's ok Ladyofthenight, I haven't started mine either heh. I got some stuff for it though.
 
Mine will go out Monday. Hope my partner likes them :)

I had planned on sculpting mine, but then I hurt my elbow and can barely use my arm for anything but resting here on my desk and typing. D: Not sure if it's a pinched nerve or what, but I'm going to have to change my game plan. Fortunately I still have lots of options at my disposal, so I'm not too concerned. :winkpony:
 
Not happy with initial idea's execution, so am working out something else to go with it. As long as my partner doesn't mind two handmades instead of one? LOL
 
I heard a little online rumor that the south africa postal strike has ended. Is it safe to ship there yet? Or should we give it a few weeks...
 
The postal strike here has ended – for now. They say if their demands aren't met by January then they'll strike again. But I'd probably give it another week or so longer at least, because they still need to work through the backlog from the last three months. I'll be keeping an eye on the news to see how quickly things pick up. I'm not shipping out til next week just to be on the safe side. I've had my stuff go missing when the post office wasn't on strike, so I'm overly cautious these days!
 
Everything is wrapped and ready! Toddler doctors appointment and thus wonky work hours will keep me from shipping it tomorrow, but I expect to send the goodies on their way Wednesday!
