Petite Pony mystery.. non-pearly Pretty n' Pearly Petites (pics)

Hi everyone!

(Let me just preface by saying that my internet availability has been really sporadic since the untimely death of my PC nearly 10 days go. It's put me behind in art commissions, communications, and a few transactions. I'm keeping contact as best I can, hoping to be up and about fully on a brand new PC on Monday. And now, onto the mystery.

Maybe it's not a mystery, and I'm just overlooking something so obvious that it's evading me, lol. I've looked all over the Petite Pocket website, as well as my collection of Collector Guide books, and I can't seem to figure this out.


Below, you'll see the Pretty n' Pearly Petite Ponies as they should be--pearlized. Under those are versions of the exact same petites (check out the small mold/casting marks that correspond) but without the pearly finish.

Any idea who these mystery ponies are? They don't seem to be from playsets or from any other non-Pearly Petite sets. :scratch:
 
I dunno, but I'm pretty sure I have both versions of that orange one.
 
Haha, you know what's funny? I *only* have the purple one. :D
I think they are variants of the Pearly Petites.

I actually have the orange one and purple one non-pearly
LadyG has a blue one with out symbol and non pearly (and no eyes I think?)
I also have the green peg with no symbols or eyes (not from the pearly set)

they are ligit variants

Hey Roogna! :)

Variants, yay! I'll have to see if I have any doubles or extras. I have so much pony stuff to go through, and a ton to sell. Thank you for the info!

PS: How's giant Rainbow Dash doing? :eek:k:

I've never seen those before. They're pretty, though. I wish I had some of the pearlized and some of the non-pearlized ponies and could display them together.
 
I have all the pearly ones, but I REALLY LIKE the non-pearly version....especially the purple one in the rearing pose. ^^
 
If you have any extra-extras after Roogna, I'd like to be second in line to buy please! :worthy:
 
I have a few of those. I always thought the pearl sheen had rubbed off somehow, but I guess now I know they're legit variants! I have the complete set of pearlies, and the non-pearly versions of the pink rearing one, the purple and the blue one. (my fave)

I have like 2 freezer zip-locks full of pettites I found at a yard sale a few years ago, so I'll have to dig through them to see if there is anything else interesting.

I really need to get more petites myself... - Adds them to the want list that's already a Mile long.

And I'm serious about adding them to the Petite Pocket if someone would be so kind to donate pictures.
 
Roogna and I both got ours from a Chinese seller :) I have the purple, orange and blue one, though the blue one is missing the symbol and eyes. The one pictured in the auction did have a symbol, but they sent me the wrong one.

My theory was that they were unfinished ones from the factory, but I still think that's really cool. There was a thread a while back in the Arena Nirvana forum where we considered some of the possibilities. Where did your's come from?
 
You know I was never really into the petites but have had a definite change of heart...these are adorable!

Oh did you get yours from that Chinese seller that was selling all those lots of non-ponytail petites on ebay a few months ago?

Hey Ivy! :) I'd be happy to donate pics. I'm on a temporary computer at the moment waiting for the replacement for my PC that turned to dust about two weeks ago, but once it's up and running I can get some better pictures for you.



And LadyG, I think it's the same seller, lol! I got these at least 6-8 months ago though, in a random lot. I have some of those knock-off ones too, that are all solid colors and made from Petite molds. I'll see if I can get some pics soon :)
