Hi there I tried to research some info on what I have been told by a few members especially the very helpful Kar Red Roses about ponies known as "Piggy Ponies".

I first notices these ponies in another thread were members where telling other memebers about their rarest ponies and three members had Piggy Ponies. To my surprise I actual own one of my own. Thanks to help from Kar Red Roses I know know she is a genuine Piggy pony and I was just wondering if anyone could tell me what she is worth?

My partner nearly threw her away and so im intrigued about her. If anyone knows I tried the price check and it didnt show anything.

Most piggy ponies run between $200-300...some, like bronze haired Minty, and Piggy peachy that are htf could run between $350-400...I am soooooooooooooo jealous, you are really very lucky, wowsers!! Keep a hold of her!!

She's not one of the more common ones, but I don't think the hair makes her hugely popular, but I would still say around the $300 mark for her. Congrats on owning her, and very lucky that your partner didn't throw her out! Years back, the community as a whole thought they were amusing fakies, but then it came to light that the were real!

I wrote a spotlight on Piggy Ponies at the Arena a while back... I'll have to find the link when the Arena is back up and running

I prefer the golden haired Minty
Here is mine:angel2:I got this one from a collector in France who got her from a seller in Spain who had them all very cheap with BIN's.
I also have a lemon drop and white hair minty, both purchased from German ebay when they were considered Fakes. Congrats on finding one in your herd.:rose3:
There are several which are harder to find, this minty version being one of those
$300.00 - $350.00 if eyelashes are intact and she's in nice condition.

Here's my white-maned girl.

I was so fortunate to get her in the condition she's in, too. She's NM, with the softest hair, perfect, unrusted eyes, and not a mark on her. All thanks to the lovely SilverSnow

Wow....I've never noticed how pretty Piggys are before. I want one now (Lemondrop), but I don't think I'd ever spend that much on a pony...

It's a Huge Leap, but once you start, well it's very worth taking the leap, but of course it's better to find them already in your herd :icon_smile_lachuh: easier on the Wallet that way

Piggies are fun! I snagged a Butterscotch a few years ago, and then Rayitos after her. There are a few more I would love to add to the collection, but finding them is near impossible! The white one with blue clouds does not pop up often at all!

Lucky you she wasn´t thrown away! Brown hair Minty was my favourite pony when I was a child, her name in Spanish is Manzanita, I hope this helps.

piggy ponies

hey everyone thanks alot for all ur help, cant believe she was purchased from a car boot sale for lets just say no where near what any of u have said she is worth wahoooo.

OMG Shelti-- she looks gorgeous moc. I cant believe how lucky i am shes nm I think her eyelashes are in tact no rusting and no marks that i have i have seen on her so very happy indeed.

Tunefal87-- Ur Minty looks fabulous, Cant believe how different she looks and the only difference is mine has the dark hair which i think should of been on butterscotch.

Ive been getting my ear chewed off about selling her, The money would come in hand at the minute cos i wanna keep one of my puppies but cant justify keeping her cos my partner needs the money to pay of debts.

So going to give it a week of so and then decide if going to put her up for sale in the trade sales. still undecided tho I really didnt think she was real. Thanks alot everyone.
