Pink Dreams came into my collection rather serendipitously. My college friend absol had been hunting for a Pink Dreams at Pony Fair back in July, and ended up finding two! As she packed to go back home, she gifted me the lesser condition duplicate she had picked up.
I've never really been one for flutter ponies, but Pink Dreams grew on me right away. She had some marks, no wings, and slightly frizzy hair, but I knew I had to restore her to at least a fraction of her former glory! After all, she was a gift from a dear friend
So, I set to work. I cleaned off as many marks as I could with acetone and rubbing alcohol, then bought repro wings from Kar Red Roses (another pony friend I met for the first time at BroNYCon in June). Conditioner and a hair straightener combated the frizz, after which her flowing pink locks were put in curlers and boil-permed.
And when I took her hair out of the curlers...
...I was rewarded with a gorgeous flutter pony!
Although she may not be minty-mint, she represents some of the friendships I have made through My Little Pony, and thus is one of the prizes of my collection
