Dying the pony was a complete pain in my butt but I got it right, or at least as close as humanly possible :).

The only thing I really couldn't do much about was the hair line - I won't say anymore because I want you to guess...

~Stef

The one on the right is the dye job? Her body looks marginally darker than the other one and her hair looks more a dusty pink than that funky bubblegum-chewed-for-too-long pink that it's supposed to be.

Either way good job! My first repinking efforts turned Posey's hair magenta instead if pink! :)

I was gonna say the one on the right, too, but it was so hard to tell! What a fantastic job! :D

You probably want us to say the one on the right...but I'll say the one on the LEFT!! The hair is much nicer, as is the blush. So, the one on the left. I mean, it makes sense that the real one could look a bit...discolored and messy, yes?

Darn, you guys guessed lol. I tried matching the pink exactly to the girl I had, which is the one on the left. I'm having a hard time seeing the difference between the mane colors, but yeah, the dye was SUPER difficult to match lol. I fought with that one for a good part of a day...

I'm gonna see what I can do about that hairline though... It was bugging the person who commissioned her, and now come to think of it, it's bugging me a little. I bet if I smoothed it out in the front, it'd be better.

~Stef

Hehe nope, the one on the right is my version. I had a hard time with the curls, which I might straighten out some more.

~Stef

WOW! She looks amazing! Did you paint on the diaper and everything too? *keels over* Holy cow thats good! If it was just her with no comparision, I'd never be able to tell the difference.
You get two thumbs way up :worthy:

Yay thanks! :). Yep, I painted the diaper too. I even tried to copy the imperfections in the little lacy parts. It took forever!

~Stef

its actually scary. You could really make money on ebay by sneaking on of those into a lot. I am glad you are a good honest person. :)

You did a fantastic job! The hairline was the giveaway for me but it was really hard to tell!

The only way I knew was to compare mine to the picture--you did a very good job all things considered. :)

Alrighty. I re-did her hair and cleaned it up a little. I re-stlyed the forelock so it's not so wha-BAM in your face. Now it's not quite so obvious.

"I swear, we're not related!"

Thanks for the comments guys. Lol, whippet. I guarantee she won't be showing up in any of my auctions hehe.

Thanks Sam! :) And yeah, my goal was to make it as inconspicuous as possible. I hope MLPSayuri loves her as much as I do.

I'm wondering, why freckles?

I could tell the difference, but it was more in the hair texture than color. The way you had it shaped made it look.. hand done? I don't know. But yeah, it's very, very insanely close.

Who's who?

I guess the one on the right too, because of the way her diaper wrapped under her leg a littl emore than the real deal. The curls kinda made me think so too.

Freckles - because I didn't want to risk taking them off and leaving an acetone smear which would repel the dye. It was ok on the body because the diaper wuold cover it. Plus, they're cute.

What's giving it away about the curls? They are hand done lol.

~Stef

Oh yeah, kitty, the one I made is slightly facing the back wall. I had a better picture but I guess I put up the other one by accident. That's why it looks like that.

~Stef

beeeeautiful

that picture is the background on my computer! cute!

She looks really good...the only way I could tell for sure was the neck line! That gave it away, since you can tell the one is basically sitting flush, while the custom has a bit of an overhang to it. The symbols and such I really couldn't tell!

I think the freckles add just a little bit to her, and that is one guarantee that people won't try to sell her as real! You know someone would...you sell her or trade her, then a year or so down the line she gets sold/traded again and so on until someone says "hey, I can sell her for $100! No one would know the difference!" Having freckles, we know she's a very nice custom, but still very very cute!

Stash, you finally found your way to the new board!

Squirtsquirt, yeah, I hadn't really put her head on completely yet. WHen the bait came to me, someone didn't do a wonderful job of taking the head off so it didn't fit perfectly back on. I'm going to fix that :).

I thought about that, about the re-selling of her. I hope no one does it, but yeah. It's good that it's not 100% alike :). And another thing, I always have trouble signing my customs... just, something's not right with me and signing their feet lol. I feel like I'm doing something bad lol.

And yeah, she's on ebay now, if anyone here is interested. :)
