Hi all! So ever since my parents moved and dropped off my Show Stable and childhood pony collection I have been a teeny tiny bit pony obsessed. I just keep purchasing ponies!! My random question is this...for those who are willing to fess up ;)....how much have you spent on a pony or ponies in one month??

My best (or worst maybe) has been right around $400. That's multiple purchases btw. I need to know just how out of control I am getting.....

Umm.... I'm guessing I've spent $50 in the past few months on ponies. Not so bad... yet.

I haven't bought any pony this month because there are no new ponies in stores; but I'm sure last month I spent like $40-60.

Um... I think I spend about $30 per week, so about $120 per month. Actually, some weeks maybe I spend only $20 or less... So maybe $80-$120 per month? I try to look for good deals on ponies, so nice ponies for low prices are what I like. :) I probably should cut down on my expenses on ponies though, and save some money. :blah:

Personally I don't think we have a budget. I'll purchase ponies if we have the money and can afford it. I usually don't go crazy buying though. In the beginning it was a different story. I probably spent hundreds. I have a little more self control now. HAHA!

Hmm. I don't really keep track. Its the ones in stores that get me in more trouble. I just started collecting again and had to do some catch up since I really liked the New Look ponies.

I bought a whole bunch before Christmas. So I was probably in the $100-$150 range.

This month I'm doing ok. I've only bought myself a B-day present from overseas so far. But then I'm also hoping to seal a deal on a couple other international ones soon too. (I usually stick with domestic ponies, so this month is a bit irregular.)

So, yeah probably around $100 a month is an average, since I don't buy ponies all the time.

The most I've spent in one month is probably $40-50. I usually spend much, much less on a monthly basis.

I don't really have a budget. I buy what I know I can afford, or ask the seller if they'll take payments (because I buy mainly foreign variants). My most expensive purchase for one month was over $400, and I'm pretty sure I bought some other things as well, thought I did get to break up the payments on the big one so it wasn't so painful to the bank account.

I buy ponies with whatever money I make from swagbucks and the few I find at thrift shops so that's not a whole heck of a lot. I make at least 10 bucks in paypal gift cards from swagbucks a month. I'm kind of a penny pincher though lol.

I don't have a 'budget' either, and only buy a few select G1s and G3s so no new ones for me, which keeps it down a bit. I have bought several ponies in the past few months, and also several lots, but most of them I resell so that re-fuels the pony budget. I try not to overspend whatever is in my paypal balance--guess that's my 'budget' whether it's $1 or $100 lol. I just try to restock it by selling stuff on ebay and craigslist lol. But if I find a super deal and don't have any paypal balance, I usually just buy it anyway! Then I have to sell stuff to make up for it hehe.

Thanks to all those who posted! I can tell by your responses that I've been a bit out of control lately. I'm trying to reign myself in though. It's been a slow process...;)

I admit, I got a bit out of control when I first started collecting again. Right now I spend approx $100 on ponies a month. But this is through thrift stores/ebay lots and I clean and resell them all. I try to get the nicer ponies back into the community. And any baits, I happily supply to customizers in need. And I still find a few that I can't part with. I think I would spend a ton more if I could afford it though!

I'm like playful heart, I don't have a set amount, if I have the money I'll spend it, but don't feel bad cause I'm probably running that high on my highest month, if not more. But i bought all my cheapish pony's first and now the one's I want are climbing the price scale haha.

There is no set amount for me, if we have a little extra we put it in our paypal, and hoard it till something we really want comes up. :)

Since I'm a fairly new pony collector I went a bit mad buying all the ponies I love in the last few months... I've spent more than I'd like to admit so I'm having to reign myself in also ;) I think I might have to limit my pony allowance to about $50 a month once I'm in a position to start buying again lol

Why do ponies have to be so addictive?? Ha ha :2011:

I don't have a set budget ~ some times I go weeks without buying and then I might go crazy for awhile lolMoney I make from selling ponies goes straight back into buying so if I'm seeling doubles and ponies I don't want anymore I spend more :)

I do the same thing. Sometimes I don't buy anything for a long time but then I'll buy a few things at once. I usually spend more if I've just sold some extra ponies and have extra money in my paypal.

For me it would be about 50.00 this month because I found a lot of deals and got some off of ebay also, but thats the highest ever for me.

Before I started uni, I was spending lots on ponies, now, I have no budget! It's very hard... I hate it!
