I thought it might be fun to share things that drive you mad when buying or selling ponies online. I have so many, so I'll begin. No particular order.
BUYING:
1. Please view pictures for condition.
REASONS - pictures are great, but, depending on how they are taken, important things can be missed. If you are selling and you have EYES and see that my Cool Breeze has part of her tail cut, mention it! (because you couldn't tell at all from the photo) Also, by only doing photos, you can hide things if you are so inclined to be sneaky.
2. Saying ponies may have marks, hair cuts, cancer, tail rust, chews, missing parts, may be possessed etc.
REASONS - I get that they are trying to cover all the bases, but when I look at their pictures and the pony looks okay, I have to wonder if I've missed something important. I tend to avoid buying from sellers that do this. It's also kinda lazy. I mean, just look at the pony. If you see anything worth noting, mention it.
3. Ridiculous prices
REASONS - Again, I don't get it. $300 for a bunch of common, roughed up ponies is nuts. Maybe take ten minutes and do the most basic research. In the end, it will save you time and having to relist when no one buys your lot. This is a common problem lately, even for individual ponies. I know I'm cheap, but listing all your common ponies for $24.99 each, plus shipping is unlikely to bring many sales.
SELLING:
1. Asking for me for more pictures when I've posted both sides of a pony, and given details about it's condition and it's $4 and you won't buy it anyway.
REASONS - time wasting. I understand if you are spending a lot on a pony, you may want additional photos, but some people are just being ridiculous. Come on now, be reasonable.
2. Not reading the post.
REASONS - I try to put details in my post for anything you may want to know. Info on condition, prices, availability, shipping, methods of payment etc. When you ask me questions that are already answered in my post, you make me not want to sell them to you.
3. Not knowing what you are buying.
REASONS - Partly because I don't get it. How much is the blue one? Which blue one, and if you are so interested in buying her, why haven't you bothered to find out who she is. Ok, I know not everyone is the same, but it's weird and again, kinda lazy.
4. This one is going to make me look bad, but if you demonstrate to me that you are completely ignorant, if can't type in full sentences and use your words, I'm unlikely to sell anything to you.
REASONS - This one is all me. I've turned into that crazy, old lady who says "These kids today..." I'm also likely to yell at people to "Get off my lawn".
