Princess Celestia Toys - All Pink?

Hey folks -

So I'm late to the FiM party, but I'm working on a base set of ponies and I thought it would be cool to have a Celestia with my core 6. However, every auction I see is for Pink or even bordering on purple Celestias. Did they not make basic 5" Celestias in white?
 
They are making one, it's a Toys R Us exclusive, if I'm not mistaken, and I think it's already available.

The reason Princess Celestia toys are mostly pink, is solely because of toy makers/store buyers, and mostly the latter's preconceptions of girl's toys, according to Lauren Faust. Basically, what she has said is that, when they were taking care of orders, the stores looked at Celestia and said something along the lines of "If it's white, we'll buy 50. But if you make it pink, we'll buy 500." I'm guessing it's because of an underlying belief that pink toys sell better than any other color, if the target audience is girls. Yeah, it's kind of dumb.
 
but the TRU one in white is a big pony, not a basic size. i have only seen the basic size pop up on ebay, but i dont know if its a prototype or what.
 
Pffft...Not all girls like pink, I know I didn't. And kids aren't dumb, they are able to notice when something isn't right from a show they like. Its nice that they are selling the proper Celestia now.
 
I refused to buy the pink Celestia. I've never liked pink and the discrepancy between the show and toy was too much for me. However, I just got my gorgeous TRU exclusive white Celestia a couple days ago.

Though I thought I did hear of one that was just a little bigger than the regular ponies and was white coming to TRU, but of course now that I want to back that up all I can find is info about the big talking one. :|
 
Hmmmm yeah the only white one I found was very tall, like super styling sized. I was hoping for a 5" >.< Well this is just silly.
 
An image of an all white one at the smaller scale has recently popped up on the chinese auction site Taobao, where new pony images often leak first, before official announcements are made. So far no official release has been announced to confirm its authenticity. My guess is it's coming in a future set but we might not see it until closer to Christmas. I'd advise patience. The pink ones aren't going anywhere, so if you wait a while to see whether a white one appears first, you can always go back and snag a pink one later. :)
 
I got the Royal Castle Friends set today and she's still pink :( That's what's showing in those flyers. Last pix looks promising :)
 
Oh yes, ignore the flyers - that's not what I am talking about. It's that last image on the page that I was referring to.
