I am back home again after my back surgery. It went well, but I am really sore.
My son gave me a large, plush Princess Luna for Christmas. She arrived late, but just in time for me to go down for my surgery. He said she is supposed to watch over me and keep the nightmares away.

I had her with me in my hospital room, and she ended up getting blood all over her mane  Everyone was asking me about her-the nurses and doctors, and thought that was very sweet of my son. I had some trouble with passing out every time I sat or stood up for a couple days. But I was able to get over it and was released on time.

My son put her in the wash as soon as I got home, and all the blood came out of her mane. Her only battle scar is her mane is no longer attached to the side of her face.

She also does a good job of keeping me warm at night. I have had a couple times that I just couldn't warm up. So I hugged her tight and soon was getting warmer. Yes, I am a 37 year old who sleeps with a pony:smile:

I'm 38 and I sleep with a plush snow leopard. There's nothing wrong with sleeping with plushies.

My bed is covered in stuffed animals XD that's the only way I feel safe and secure (that and my Green Day posters watching over me XD)
Not to mention, i'm 19 years old ^^

My son's favorite animal is the snow leopard. He has four stuffed cats he sleeps with-a white tiger, a snow leopard, a bobcat, and a leopard. Too bad the real snow leopards a wild and will eat you. I could snuggle up to one of them any day....

Well, the bed is invaded by pony plushies, not mentioning Creepy Crawling Scootapoo :V
Plush, it isn't a typo. Bad puns strike again
We all hope you recover soon enough to go back with your ponies!

I hope you will recover soon, very much hugs to you <3 :). Surgerys are ok but it is pain in the butt to try to recover from it..

I'm glad you did have company while you were in hospital! And it doesn't matter what your age is! If Luna makes you comfortable, makes you easier to sleep (it is Lunas magic :D) etc. then ofc she should be by your side ;) .
p.s.good thing that plushies are so durable that they can handle little washing too ;)

Aww, that's cute. I am 30 and stopped sleeping with stuffed animals a long time ago, but I do sleep with a living stuffed animal--my 10 year old cat. :)

Our bed has so many plushies on it that sometimes i feel like they own the bed instead of me. I'm a big fan of livin' like you wanna live! Maturity is only a state of mind after all. And it's good to embrace our inner child.

So how are you feeling after you surgery? I'm so glad it went well!

Doing OK-today was kinda rough, none of my painkillers or muscle relaxants were able to do anything. But I just need to work at getting up and walking a little more each day. Thanks for asking!

I'm glad to hear you are feeling better! That's so great that you had a luna to comfort you. And let's be proud adults who still sleep with stuffed toys! I'm sure there are many of us here.

Glad to hear you're on the mend! Hope you heal quickly!
