I'm considering moving all my g3 ponies to the basement because I'm running out of room for the playsets in my room. But the only reason I hesitate is because I know storing ponies in basements can cause pny cancer. Does anyone know if g3's can get cancer?
Many thanks

Yes, they can. I had a Peri Winkle with cancer spots. I would not recomend you to store your ponies in the basement. Before being a collector I had my childhood ponies in the basement and most of them developed cancer :(

I wouldn't recommend it either. If you have any attic or garage space, I'd put them there (as long as there's some sort of ventilation). The dampness in basements will more than likely hurt them otherwise.

Can something be done in the basement to make it pony safe? My future pony room is in the basement, along with my doll room! Not to mention my Breyer herd is slowly migrating to the basement den. My sewing room and bedroom are the only safe places for ponies/dolls/etc., so ultimately we need to move downstairs. I've got it all mapped out too. How perplexing! :/

our garage is full and the atic is hard to get into and musty worse than the basement so i hope i can make the basement pony safe :?

I know the feeling. My ponyland display will eventually be in the basement too. If you have a dry basement, you're probably OK. But if you want to be super safe, you can get a de-humidifier for the room. They're kind of expensive, so you'll have to take into account whether or not your collection is worth it.
