Having a hard time finding something to use to pull the mane hair out. Soaked her in boiling water to melt the glue. Cut her mane into a mohawk lol but now I am having a hard time finding a tool to fit her neck hole to pull the hair out. I don't have anything small enough. :/

Any suggestions?

An-Gel - My needle nose are far too large for the tiny hole. I tried my tweezers too and no room for wiggle. lol Thanks though.

ristvak - I hope they are small enough, if not they will be useful for my larger pony re roots. Thanks guys!

I always cut a wedge out of the ring in the head to make the opening wider. It still fits back over the post in the neck when I need to put the head back on.

Well, I can JUST get mine into an adult G4 head so I don't know how that would compare to Sweetie Belle =/

Haha - Yeah, Sweetie Belle is a tiny little thing. Has anyone rehaired or even seen a Cutie Mark Crusader rehair job? I tried looking it up but couldn't find anything. I boiled some water and soaked her head in it to melt the glue but it's still very difficult to get the hair out.

Skeen - I think I'll consider your advice. I am not sure I want to cut the head. I will think about doing it though if it means I can progress with my custom though.

You can also try running a flathead screwdriver along the inside of her head to scrape the glue. A lot of the plugs will come out with it and you can usually pull the rest out easier.

I've done it! I don't have pictures on me, but I've done it!! 3 times now, actually.

I did it with needle-nose pliers meant for jewelry making. I always loosen the hair by poking through the plugs with needle or pushpin, then when I grasp onto a chunk of hair on the inside with the needle nose pliers, I twist like crazy. Any stubborn bits of hair that are left I poke through with the needle or pushpin I used initially...if that makes sense! It's a pain, but it CAN be done on a CMC!

Good luck with your Sweetie Belle!

Skeen - I will try that! I've been looking around the house for tiny tools and I do have some eye glass repair screw drivers that are tiny and sharp.

ichigo_pinkchan - Thanks! I will try poking the hair with a sewing needle if it gets difficult. I would love to see photos too! I've Googled so hard without finding any pictures at all!

I had to cut the neck peg out to get to the tail which I had no issue removing. The neck peg can be super glued back since I want Sweetie Belle to be able to move her head after all this.

I've been soaking her head in super hot water but the glue seems to be a lot stronger than any toy glue I've come across. I'm scared to use acetone because Sweetie Belle is from the Fluttershy/Sweetie Belle sweets shop play set and she is sparkly if you look closer at her. I don't want to loose the sparkle on her.
