I see lots of the little Pony Charm's for sale reasonable cheaply on ebay. I would really like to get one, repaint it, and wear it as a necklace.

Is there any charms that I 100% should not repaint, no matter what the condition?

Or are they all common enough that they are pretty much fair game.

G1's.

They are the only ones I've been able to find in abundance.

oh ok. I'm sure you could "have-at" any G3 charms, but there probably are a few G1s you shouldn't touch, hopefully someone more knowledgeable will come along to tell you.

Also, there have been resin replicas of those charms made in case you were interested in something like that, avoiding repainting an original charm altogether.

A resin replica would be great. Do you happen to know where I might get my hands on such a thing, Beth?

Oh sweet, thanks Natsu!

here is her site and a few for sale, http://www.thelostlotus.com/mummy-sale.html

but if you buy your own mummy charm, it is actually quite easy to make a mold and there are cheap(ish) products at michaels that you can take advantage of. Look for Castin' Craft Mold Builder to make the mold, and they have a resin and catalyst set for about $10 (with weekly coupons for 40% off) it's all in the glue section if you have trouble finding it!

You rock, thanks for the links!
