Well as i said elsewhere I have more ponys than originaly listed and some need fixing up. One of my favorites has a couple small paint spots on her knees. I don't have a clue how it happened and it's a different color on each knee. Is there any way to safely remove it?

Also is there anything to be done about frizzy hair? I have a sea pony baby somewhere, recently moved so i'm not sure where, she got seperated from the rest cuz I still play wqith her on occasion :) But anyway I got her wet in the past and her hair has been frizzed ever since.

I'dsay the best way to get the paint off would be nail polish remover. as for the frizz, wash her hair in warm water with shampoo then put some conditioner in it(preferably something for dry hair) let her sit over night, wash the conditioner out then brush her hair out. you might have to do this a couple times, but it works rather well for me!

thanks. i'll try the conditioner overnight.

As for the nailpolish remover I'll have to try that on my damaged beyound repair pony first and see if does anything to her. she's a dark pink but something happened to her and she's got light pink slotches all over that shouldn't be there. she's cute dispite the scars so I never got rid of her.

Aside from the mail orders that I bought dirrect myself most of my collection came from one thrift store. As a kid we'd go weekly to this thrift store and they always had lots of MLP and care bears for cheap so I'd come home with one or the other. Then we moved and didn't see them in other stores. so many who do have problems came that way but got some nice ones that way too.

unfortunately the nail polish remover won't do anything for those light pink spots...I would know because my locket has that problem... poor pony... it's best just to try it on an edge of the paint and see what happens. ^_^

no I knew it would do nothing for her spots just figured it couldn't hurt her any worse so apply remover to her and if she came out okay after then I'd feel safer trying it on the one that needs it.

Of course if nailpolish remover has actualy been tried without harm before that would help easy my worry over it but it wasn't clear if it was just a suggestion or has been done before so figured better safe than sorry. I don't want to damage her worse.

One more thing. what about rusty eyes on Bedy-Bye-eyes.

I have Frosting and there is nothing wrong with her except for rusty eyes.

Sleepy-Pie doesn't even have rusty eyes but has dirt that wont wipe off. i read something about boiling regular ponies? but that would probably ruin her eyes right? Will have to look into that more. but am open to imput to make it easier on me :)

there are rust removers on the market that work wonders on pony eyes.

However you must be careful, because god knows what's in the stuff. The bottle I have (which works great) basically tells me to wear a biohazard suit while using the chemical in a well ventillated area.. (and it's only supposed to be used on metal)..

Anyway, what pony do you have with the lighter patches? Because this is usually the plastic seperating, and with many ponies it's common.. it's still possible to sell/trade one with that affliction.

For example, if it's orangeish with twinkle eyes and party hats.. lol. it's almost impossible to find a Party Time with no blotches.

As for the paint, pure acetone works better than nail polish remover. you'll find it in a store next to the polish remover, but it's just more concentrated. It won't hurt the pony's coloring, just be VERY VERY careful not to get any on eye paint or the symbol, as they would instantly disappear.

Good luck =)

CloudPuff flutter pony is the blotchy one she has no wings.

Shouldn't be to risky for the one with the paint as it's on her front knees. I used to have a huge bottle of the acetone when i went through a very breif period of actualy wearing polish. Will get some and try it.

Seems logical rusy fremover would remove rust :) Will is hurt her eyelashes if it touches them? seems like it would be near impossible to apply and not touch the eyelashes too.

Mary

the one I have doesn't, just rinse it off as soon as the rust is gone, so it doesn't keep eating through it =)

Cloud Puff is prone to that, but not as much as some others. sad though, isn't it?

That's good then i'll get some fairly soon and fix her eyes up.

Yep to bad about the splotching. at least it's sort of normal. Thought maybe something nasty happened to her at some point.

Mary

Think CLR would be okay? That's supposed to remove rust and be fairly safe to most surfaces.
