Sailor Moon Customs Swap - Round 2 ~ CLOSED - July 2009

I'm missing something. whats round 2 of round 2. ~.~

When we signed up we were allowed to pick how many customs we wanted to do for this round. Most said just one, while a couple said two. Now that some of us have gotten fairly far along on our first customs, we're thinking about doing a second. :) So it's the same people participating - meaning it's not a new round, just more customs are being swapped in round 2 ;)

Yep yep, Linden got it right. *passes cookies around*

It's no stress at all to anyone. If you finish early and you want to make a 2nd custom, go for it. But remember, it may not be to the same partner either. Your partner may only be able to do just one and not 2. Please keep that in mind. Once we start getting a few finished with their first customs, we may re-pair up for the 2nd part of the swap or we may keep the same partner. It's up to everyone. It'd be cheaper on shipping if you keep the same partner, but not everyone is going to be that fast.

We'll see when we get to that point.

I see. I haven't started on mine. Yet, i need to get out to micheals and get some stuff. I got the hair. I just need paint, the bait, and clay.

I'm waiting on blank ponies to come back into stock. I'm not buying one off ebay for 7 bucks lol

Yay, cookies! *grabs one* These are yummy! did you make them yourself! haha!

So yah, I might be able to do round 2 of 2 as well. depends. If the person I get wants the one thats already made! lol... I made one already, but my current partner didnt ask for that character. (i had the stuff so I figured why not go ahead and make it) who knows I love her so much, I might post her here and sell her instead, what does everyone think???

Feel free to share photos in here as well as give us to the link if you decide to showcase her in her own thread. Glad that you finally got to complete one. They are fun and can be addicting. ^_^v

Yah, she was fun! I think tomorrow i'll put her up!

I'm tempted to post some progress pictures of my custom, but I have a sneaking suspicion that my partner knows that I have her... :krakrani: And it wouldn't be exactly hard to guess which character my custom is, lol.

It's all up to you guys. That's what this thread is for. Share if you'd like.

yay! my hair came in! I am off to work on the pony! woohoo!!

Well mine is all sculpted just waiting on the hair, the paint I'll get this weekend ^^ I have her skirt all set too I'm really liking how she's turning out so far ^^

I haven't even started. I have the bait prepped, paint bought, and I think I have the hair I want already (not quite sure if the color I'm thinking of is the color I want to use), but haven't done anything yet. I'm a bit lost!

Skeen if you need any help drop me a line. I'm a sailor moon guru. lol

LOL Thanks! I can't sculpt for crap, so I'm trying to sew a dress, and I think I need to refine my pattern a bit, lol!

Trying to make the hair stay right is giving me trouble too. But, I remember this girl in high school used to really water down elmer's glue and twist her hair with it. Maybe I can try that on a bait before working on the custom. Hmm.....

Another tip with hair, look at pippi longstockings. Remember the red head with the upward braided ponytails? The trick was to put in coat hangers to make her hair stay. Same principal can be done to ponies but with either floral wire or that small wire you find in the craft store or even using bread twist ties. It might help you out. :)

I'm also available as a resource if you need some help with colors etc.

How is everyone else coming so far on this?

I'm about 80% done on sculpting, then to bake it. I'm using scupley this round. Then it'll be off to the paint work and then rehair. I don't want to paint the hair. I may just be able to do a part 2 this time as well.

just a quick update! I just got home today from my surgery earlier this week and I am still working on my pony... waiting for hair and I think I will try sewing clothes this time around!

My update: I received my hair today. That's it, lol. I've kind of stagnated because of my school work-load. I'll be picking it up again this weekend, hopefully.

Bait is ready to go. Still waiting on hair

Thank you all for the great communication! You all are doing wonderful progress ^_^v Let me know if you run into any problems at all. If things continue to run this smoothly (*knock on wood) we all may be able to do part 2 of round 2. :D

Anyone care to give some teaser pics? You can edit the colors in the pics if needed. :)

I'm working on the last bit of mine now. Doing the body painting and then it's off to styling the hair and mine will be complete. Whoo Hoo!
