San Diego/Southern California mini-meet? (old)

I could do Irvine. it's a little bit of a drive but at least I know how to get there without a map, lol.

San Diegans, I have room for three passengers in my car, so if we actually set this up and you don't have a ride, we could find a place to meet up and carpool (just chip in for gas?).
 
For sure Pengwen! I figured most people wouldn't be able to do such short notice, but with the freeway closed too, well, no one would be able to come!

Does anyone have a day they want to meet-up on? Or do we have an idea of when people might be free to meet at, say, the Spectrum? (Or if you have a better spot to meet, suggest that too!! I'm just trying to think of places with lots of stuff to do.)
 
I say soon! think of this more as just hanging out with friends (and bringing ponies) than a BIG IMPORTANT EVENT. Plus I'm moving to Missouri in six weeks, so soon works for me :p
 
Okay, next week is Comic-con so I won't be available then. Do you guys want to do the week after? (week of 31-6)

what would be better for everyone, weekdays or weekends? I have a better chance of not working on a weekday, but I could probably swap schedules with a co-worker if everyone else is available on say, a Saturday. And again, I can help out with San Diego transportation issues :)
 
I am a full-time college student, so I'm free pretty much any time during the summer! I think the week of the 31st-6th sounds great, too! :)

Weekday evenings the week of 31-6 would work well for me. That Sunday mid-afternoon/evening, or Saturday morning or night could work as well for me.
 
This sounds fun! I'm in the inland empire so I'm not too far from OC, though gas is a major issue for me. I work on weekends, so I can do a weekday....anyway, if you guys schedule a date and I can make it, I will come. :) California FTW!!
 
I'm thinking the BEST idea would be to set up two different days so that everyone has a chance to go at least once. I'm thinking Wednesday the 3rd and Saturday the 6th? Sound good to everyone else?
 
I was thinking the same thing ABrownCrayon! :) I would be happy to go twice and meet everyone!

Does anyone have any ideas for activities we could do? I could bring my customizing stuff, it might be really fun to customize with someone else if there are any other customizers coming! (Or I can show people how to rehair if they want!)
 
haha. that would be weird. stake out a table in the middle of a food court and have customizing demonstrations.

i'd possibly be in for Aug 6th. (just need lunch and gas money) but I need it on the weekend so I have a babysitter...

and Irvine seem's doable... a bit of a haul from S.D. but if I'm welcome I'll try and show up with some sort of goodies :)
 
Does Aug 3 and 6 work for most everyone? :) I can add them to the 'suggested meetups' on the SoCal Meetup page! How does everyone feel about meeting at noonish on each day - too early, too late?
