Season 4 Finale discussion: Can you believe what they did?! [SPOILERS/DISCUSSION]

DB loved the "resurrection", and this was one of my favorite episodes of them all.

and Spike telling Scorpan he could slither really fast.

it was so awesome.
 
Anybody else feel like they were watching Dragon Ball Z during the Twilight and Tirrac battle? There was a lot of mountain slamming and earth moving going on. Very fun!
 
Oh my Gosh, that's what my roommate was saying, dragonkiss207! And then the girls went "super saiyan" when they received their elements.

I thought it was a great finale. Though my roommate and I were joking about how much merchandise they could make from the new pony designs and Twilight's castle.

Ain't THAT the truth! And I will be first in line, despite having said at some point, NO MORE G4 PURCHASES UNLESS IT'S A NEW CHARACTER. *sigh* :surprisepony:
 
Those were cool! They had some rad 80's manes and tails going on. Made me think of the Rockin' Beat Ponies. And yea, the first thing out of my mouth was, "Well, there's the new line of toys." My fiance said that Fluttershy was auto-tuned during one of the songs, but it was so quick I didn't notice. He also thought Luna's singing voice was very cool.
 
I dont remember Scorpan being his brother or even the same specie. I know things change with new series and the story doesn't have to be the same but some things they keep up with and some they don't.
 
That is because he was not a brother in the original. they changed the story. He was actually a royal king/prince that was turned into Scorpan.
 
I had to go back and watch Rescue at Midnight Castle. :) Then I noticed that the scooter Discord had while at the tree of harmony was Blythe's scooter in the Littlest Pet Shop show.
 
love this episodes too.

My daughter love the show, they watch it ever time it is on. I watched the finally with them. It is one of my favourite storylines.

At first, I thought princess twilight and her friends were going to be sent out to stop Scorpan. I was quite surprised, when discord was chosen instead. But as I watched further into the episode, I understood why.

Discord did find and captured him. But been persuaded into joining him instead. He done so. The princess had to give up their magic, and stored it in twilight. She could not tell her friends.

When scorpan was finished robbing ponies of there magic, he went to the princess to do the same. he was quite angry to find their magic gone and banished them. He gave discord a necklace with a fancy accessory as a gift of trust and loyalty. But later discovered a 4th Alcorn. After discord gave him the info as to where she lived and how to get twilight to agree to giving up her magic. He then betrays him and steals his magic.

So there was a battle, and then Scopan made a deal with twilight. All the Alcorn magic for her friends. Her friends fluttershy says we are not worth it. Discord says oh but you are fluttershy. I had friendship and magic and now I have neither. Looking at the friends a rainbow appears in her eyes and she agreed. He let go of the ponies and dragon. Discord was still trapped in the bubble. And she says all of them. After he betrayed you all. You still consider him a friend. Release him.

Discord told twilight that scorpan lied saying this medallion was a gift of loyalty and friendship. But when I say it is, I'm telling the truth. And he gives it to twilight.

It was the final key that help unlock the chest and with it they defeat scorpan. And restored magic to all ponies.

Then soon after twilight castle appeared in the middle of Ponyville. There was also a table and chairs for each pony even one for spike beside twilights chair. Discord wondered where his chair was. And fluttershy response you're not quite there yet. He replies well I suppose you're right.

This was one of the best I seen yet.

We can all learn a thing or two about friendship. Just watching this series, ever since it started, taught me so much. Especially my daughters.

Thank you Hasbro. For bringing my little pony to the screen.
