why hello! me and pinkiemint are sisters and share the same collection. I was wondering if you also share your collection with anyone else.

I don't share a collection now, but when I was a kid I shared a collection with my two sisters. Well, that was until they "grew out" of them, and I took them all for myself. lol. Hopefully someday either my son (he's only 4 months old) or a future daughter will be interested, and I'll share my ponies with them. :)
 
I don't really share a collection, but there are a few ponies in my 'collection' (such as a Beachball with a ridiculous hair cut and one of the unicorns from a playmobile playset) that are understood to belong to my brother; he's just too 'manly' to have ponies of his own XD The same applies to my baby Blossom, which is definitely my sister's even if she lives in my room. Mostly, it's because they're childhood ponies that I could never fully see as just mine.

I don't personally have anyone to share a collection with but its not a bad idea. With two people collecting you will have twice as many ponies mwuahaha
 
I share with my fiance :)

He has TT little giggles in his car, baby woolly at work, and I thiiiink he'll be taking Derpy once I finish her up.

He buys them for me, and seems sad if I don't keep them, so in a way I consider the whole collection to be ours.. (except my childhood ponies. Those are mine!!!)
 
Nope, I don't really have anyone to share it with. Which is fine, because I'm terribly possessive of my stuff anyway lol! Even if I have kids someday, right now I feel like I would want them to stay away from my collection...I'll probably give them anything past G3, and the occasional baitish/common G1 or G2 to play with, but no sticky fingers will be touching my gorgeous, clean ponies. :/
 
Aadra and I *kind of* share collections. They're not housed together but between the two of us we're about, what, 15 ponies from the whole US/UK collections? We need to count!

Yup sounds about right- so, like 600 plus ponies and then the non US/UK ones! We should have a cataloging day!
 
DB and I have our separate individual pony collections, but we share the playsets. I mean, who needs two Paradise Estates in their house?!? And anyway, someday, "all my pony are belong to him". Heh hehe. 8)
 
I don't share a collection with anybody. I'm also very possessive of my things. Maybe it's because I'm an only child.

I'm normally that way, but not with Aadra (in regards to ponies. She knows to stay away from my chocolate and coffee). She has keys to my house and the attack cats like her, so if she wants ponies she can come get ponies. We loan out ponies to each other all the time for customs projects or cleaning.

But there is a distinct line between our collections. Really, they're like separate art museums loaning out their exhibits to each other. We both retain ownership of our respective bits but if I want to see a Rapunzel and she wants to see nirvanas, we both benefit. :D
 
I share my collection with my 5 year old daughter. I started collecting when she was just a newborn, but now she's older she shows alot of interest in them. There are clear boundaries that she understands, the G3's and G4's are hers to play with as she wishes and the G1s and ponywear only come out when we play with them together. I allow her to take a selection of G1s each time it's her news day at school.

I also have a Barbie collection that works in the same way, although she'd choose MLP over Barbie any day :)
