She's an Exotic Shorthair...and yes, very fluffy, kinda like a teddy bear hehe!

She actually is softer than a persian! The breed was created by crossing persians with burmese or british shorthairs or american shorthairs until they got the results we have today. They are considered shorthair persians now and persians are the only allowed breed they can cross with. They've been recognized by the cat associations as a breed since the early 60's

I quoted a description from a site for you...obviously the quote is a few decades old.

"Exotic Shorthairs are wonderful shorthaired versions of the Persian. They have the flat faces of the Persian but a short plush teddy-bear look, and the usual small squeaky Persian voices. Very responsive to humans and human emotions, this breed has inherited their very tame personality and gentle ways from their Persian ancestry. However, twenty years ago, several shorthaired breeds were used as outcrosses to bring in the short coated gene, and as a result, Exotics are generally livelier and more inquisitive than Persians."

So now that you are well informed you can go get one for your mom! :kittyplay:

You posted the pic! I was considering doing that myself hehe. You do realize that it's near impossible for me to sell the PE now don't you? Such guilt! How can I evict Dolly?

It does need a caption. If I wasn't so tired maybe I would think of one.
