There a big reason I am not much of a cook and really I am not supposed to cook as I tend to iono cut myself accidently burn food etc.
Well went to make Rice Krispy Treat they are one of my kryptonite's. Well I put the pot on the stove turn the eye on got my stuff. Forgot about the pan....Did not know I put in on High.... Finally remember the pant.
Added the 3tbs of butter and what happen Fire up to the Microwave. Black smoke me running around try trying to remember how to put a fire out. Almost put water on it then remember oil and water don't mix.

Don't want my parents to know I have stared a small bonfire in the kitchen. Grab a lid put in on the pot. Problem solved right? Wrong kind of forgot to turn the heat off. So after a few min I go to take the lid off and poof more flames.

I finally get the stove turned off the lid on the pot lucky remember a pot holder and get the pot off the hot eye. Fire is out just as my dad comes in the Kitchen. Ask me " what did you burn?" I say " Um.... just a little butter"
Dad shakes head walks off.
I think my mom knows it was not just a little butter. I did get the treats made. They are slightly burnt but that fine with me I love burnt food. Other people not so much.

Not the first time I be almost Burnt down the kitchen. When I was a kid I really like matches.

I like the taste of burnt food some foods I can't stand if it's cooked right. Like meat prob cause my mom got me paranoid of All the bad stuff in meat. My beef or chicken has to be burnt or over cooked or I can't eat it.

I also just notice a tiny melted spot on the microwave not telling my mom or dad.

I can imagine this situation LOL sorry but this is hilarious :D (now that nothing bad happened ofc).

Well practise will make you a baker (or Gingerbread ;)) if you are just willing to learn, being patience aaand staying sharp.

Kind of funny. I set my pot holder on fire and the only thing I could think of to do while it was going up in large flames was throw it out the window. Baaaaaaaaa I was in a position where I had no other choice. R2 was like, "what tha" as he saw out the other window and flaming fabric thing flying in the bushes. Great lets catch the entire yard on fire too. Glad you are okay, I would suggest just using the microwave. You don't need to stove top to make RKT's. If you blow up the microwave perhaps you might be well suited for life on mars! Tee hee

I was trying to make chicken strips at my elderly aunts house, after setting them to go I left to do other things and a few minuets later I heard a strange sound, like a crackling and went to check the stove and saw inside that the bottom element was shooting sparks, I went to turn off the stove but even with it off it still was sparking so I turned it to broil which stopped the sparking so I could pull it from the wall and unplug it. It looked like the mice had chewed threw some wire and killed the stove, at least it didn't catch on fire.

Once I was trying to make cookies. I put the tray in the oven and a few minutes later the whole house started to stink badly. The kitchen was full of smoke. I checked the cookies and they were fine but smoke was flying out the stove. So, I took the tray out and discovered that a plastic ruler was somehow attached to the bottom of the cookie tray. It fell off and landed at the bottom of the oven. It twisted itself in all sorts of shapes before it began to stink and smoke. It was actually kind of cool looking.

Well I have burned water once -.- I was making noodels and put water in the pot and forgot the whole thing. In the end all the water vanished and I got burned pot.. :D Now I have a clock that will remind me so I won't forget xP

Have you tried using marshmallow fluff? I heard somewhere that you can make rice crispie treats with that too, so no hot stuff!

Well the last time we used that I kinda blow it up in the Microwave. Don't ask this is why I am not allowed to cook much.

Just last night I had to have ADULT supervision using a knife to carve Gorge my Jack O Lantern. Still nicked my finger a tiny bit.

I had six foot flames coming out of a fryer once. It melted the cord and started an electric fire... I've got tons of experience with more normal kitchen fires, too, sadly. Grilled cheese is my bane. I always have baking soda handy for smothering.
