What does everyone do with their collections? :)

Do you keep them displayed for admiration?

Or do you give in to your child voice & play with them?

I`ve been debating of what to do with my collection. I feel the desire for both (can`t display them due to limited space with living with my parents). & I don`t really hold the interest long enough to play with them once I get done with the setting up (unless my younger cousin comes over for a play day which is rare these days).
 
I love to display mine. I dont have a ton of space, but I like to recreate ponyland. I try to have my ponies doing stuff like eating cake at the Cotton Candy Cafe.

I also like to style their hair and make mini bead necklaces and bracelets for them.

I need to buy some shelves really bad though, my space for them is getting smaller and smaller. :twisted:
 
I display all of mine {g1 and g3} in a couple of display cases but I do pull them out and play with them!

Aw, so great that you enjoy your herd. ^^ What sort of display cases do you use?
 
A few of mine are displayed but most live "shelves" that are stored in boxes.

I'm trying to figure out a way to display more of them as I either need to do that or build another shelf box, lol!
 
I do both. I have my ponies up on a shelf for display but, whenever I have the urge to play with them I just pluck a few off the shelf.
 
I display mine on shelves in my room.

I also have another shelf in the living room that I call my "Ponies of the Month" shelf. Every month (or sometimes every few weeks) I select a few ponies to display in little scenes.

Last Month I had all my Christmas ponies displayed with a small tree and presents. Right now I have the 4 Rockin Beat ponies set up like their on stage, Tuneful has a Guitar, Pretty beat is in front of the mic, Half Note is by the drums and Sweet Notes is in front of an electric keyboard. :D

I love that shelf because I can change it to suit my mood and my ponies take turns being in the spot light. I guess its sort of like playing with them. :wink:

If you don't have room to display all your ponies maybe you could do something similar?
 
ALL of mine are out! My desk is packed with them and I have numerous shelves and bookshelves in my bedroom, and no wall space. I'll spend a weekend every couple of months rearranging so none of them have to go in storage.
 
A few of them are on display (i change they every month). Most of them are stored in boxes. And a bunch of other are arround the house for decoration and play ^^
I wish i had someone to play with :p May be a kid someday. :p

Well, it's sad but i never feel the wish to play with them =/

I would love to display them though if i had the space for it. Hopefully i will get that space once i move from home. Right now they are safely storaged underneath my bed though :)

I use to only display my G3s. I loved curling their mane and tails(or should I say try curling their mane and tails)and displaying them with their accessories.
I was so afraid of dust, or sunlight damaging my G1s. So the G1s would stay inside of blue storage containers.
Then once I decided to sell my G3 collection, I decided it was about time to start displaying my G1s. I took even more pride in displaying the g1s. I loved putting them in poses with their accessories. And changing their poses every once in a while when I would clean their shelfs.
But sadly once again I have decided to put them away. So right at the moment my g1s are back in storage. I just need the space right now for my (soon to be here) baby and other furniture. But maybe one day I can display them in glass cases. :D
 
I keep my collection neatly hidden in a CD cabinet with sliding doors. I'm so sad that IKEA stopped selling these cabinets! My MIB G3s live under the bed. When my hubby isn't around (he hates my ponies) I take them out to admire them. It's like I have this secret life filled with ponies, rainbows and pastel colors.
 
I had to move back in with my parents last year, so all mine are boxed up. Except the ones I've bought since I moved in, around 50, they are sitting all over my room. I did have an awesome pony room, with over 70 little white shelves shaped like clouds (my ex made for me for my g1s), in my old house. I hope to have something like that again someday.
I do like to get a few out and style their hair but I guess my imagination just isn't what it use to be when it comes to actually playing with them. :)

Aww, poor little guys. I keep mine in boxes in my closet until I have my own place to display them. Darn this space problem, huh?

I love to display my ponies..! But I play with them sometimes..! I style their hair and clean them! :)

all my ponies are all over my room, and i share it with my sister whos younger than me, actually 4 yrs and im 17, but apparently she is older cause she doesnt like ponies or toys, she says that our room will be childish for ever, well as long as i live here :D
she gave me one of her g2 as a christmas present this winter, cause she doesnt wanna have toys anymore, i feel so stupid!!!!!!! lawl
when i was her age the g3-mania started for me and i began to buy every pony i saw and still doing that, and she just keep saying that im so little!!! well thats better for me cause i can have all of them just for me!!

i bought walking sweet steps this sunday and she just told me -no more big ponies please we dont have room for em!!!!- and i began to laugh!!
sometimes i think she´s right :roll:
but i love my ponies!!
