Summer ATC Swap -- Vacation cards mailed!

I don't know for sure yet, but I think mine may end up being a little late. But I'm thinking - hoping - that if I'm late, that it's only by a few days. I'm not talking weeks or anything here. And I may surprise myself and be done on time - but I'm not sure. My computer being so iffy with me lately is causing some problems - I'm a digital artist.
 
It's cool, Blackestbird. I've figured in a little extra time for the vacation swap for problems like this. If things look bad and you don't think you can finish, let me know and we can work something out. :)

How are our other two speedy swappers doing?
 
I'm gonna be a day late on shipping for the speedy.... :oops:

They are not dry yet!! They would have been ready but I slept late today... le sigh. I'm such a bum. But they are all put together. I'm just waiting on the final glue coat, scanning them finished and getting them out the door. I'll just have to get up extra early tomorrow to get the the PO to ship them off. They are well worth it though, in my "humble" opinion! hehe kk, so not so humble.

Thanks ladyphoenix9. It won't be an issue of finishing - well, I don't think. The computer is laggy, and doesn't let me work as long as I normally do, but it is working enough. I really think I may just end up a couple days late. We'll see. I'll keep this thread posted as I see how I progress.
 
Hi guys, I'm almost done :) I have 8 cards completed and mounted onto sturdier paper, but there are some issues here right now and I may or may not have the whole thing sent out by the 29th. I'll do my best, but no guarantees :) They WILL be sent out, however!!
 
Is it ok to use some clip art at all?Im not the best at drawing and iv been on holiday for two weeks so only been able to start today

Yes, we've had clip art/coloring book images used before. I'm actually cheating and using some myself for the thank you cards this time so I could try some different art techniques without having to worry about the art part so much. Go forth and create! :D

Also, I wanted to pop in and say lev's cards arrived today for the speedy swap. I'll check in with DPP a little later this week and see how she's doing. Once I get all the speedy cards and get ready to mail them, I'll post pictures here in the thread so our larger swap group has an idea of what's coming... ;)
 
No problem, DPP. I saw you've had a lot going on recently and didn't want to bug you with this right away. :)

Blackestbird, if you need/want to, you don't have to make all the cards different. We like them better when they are, but if you want to reuse an image or two, no one will fuss. ;)
 
Just printed mine out today, I have 8 but struggling to come up with two more.
Just sat colouring them in now
 
Well, I still think I will be late, but I might not be. I know, I'm not very clear on this. I'm trying to get done on time. My method just takes so long -.- I'll keep you updated. I do think, that even if I'm late, I'd be able to get them out the following Monday - so only 3 days late.

Now we are supposed to send self-addressed stamped envelopes as well, right? And I have drawn these for certain people, so I'm gonna have to explain to you which goes to who - I'll include a little letter with them for you ladyphoenix.
 
I may be a day late.... Hard to say since I can never judge these things. Do know I will do all in my power to get them out one time though. I have to assemble all the bits (you've seen them ladyphoenix so you can see what;s going into them). Speaking of, I'm off to do some painting on said cards! :34353:
 
Good to see everyone coming along nicely so far. I definitely understand the assemblage concerns...and then getting down to the end and running out of ideas. I've been there!

Yes, if you can, please include a SASE (I know that's not really feasible for those outside the US, which is fine.) And if they are for certain people, let me know that, too when you mail them in. If you don't designate card recipients, I'll distribute through a random-yet-fair method, namely giving them a shuffle and dealing them out. Oh, if you have favorite ponies you'd like to get, let me know about that, too, so I'll try to match those up as well as I can during the distribution phase. :)
 
I'm almost done, I have two more to go. Hopefully I'll finish them tonight.
