I just got a new Sunset Shimmer today! She is very pretty, and I wanted to get a full view of her so I removed the mask she came with. A little while later I went to put the mask back on her...and the elastic band tore out of one side of the paper! It happened so fast! Has that happened to anyone else with any of the masks from this line? It was so dissapointing! :cry2:

Sadly yes. My mom'sApplejcak's mask was torn before she even got her out of the package. I *hate* the cheap little cardboard masks and 'tiaras' (hard to call them that when they're just cut outs) that are coming with the G4s. I can't think that making sturdy plastic masks and accessories would cost that much more.

Can you tape it back from behind?

Yes, that's what I did. I cut a piece of Scotch tape in half lengthwise, than cut that halfway up ( like a pair of pants!) than I taped the knot of the elastic band down and threaded the band through the slit In the tape and it worked fine. :satisfied:

Sad we have to repair them as soon as we take them out of the packages. Pooh on you hasbro!

(but I'll still buy your Ponies because I am an addict.)

:cry2:

Hasbro defiantly does not put any thought into the quality of their product now days. Cheap jerks. That is why I don't buy too many of them. I mean, the paint jobs on a lot of them look cheap. Would it hurt soooo much to make a product that you could actually be proud of?

I miss it when Hasbro made beautiful, showing-off worthy, good-quality ponies. Oh well. At least they're still making them . . .

Ditto, I've gotten three figures with masks and one came unglued without provocation. At least it was an easy fix, a little dab of glue and mild pressure fixed it better than new. The worst QC problem on a standard figure I've run into is the Luna from the Target princess trio... the hair at the base of the tail had been superheated somehow and fused into a single mass. It looks alright, at least, she's just not at all fun to brush because of it.

Blind bag size figures are in a class of their own. I have one of the new Princess Twilights who came missing a shoe and had this rather unique Octavia. It took almost two months but Hasbro Toyshop did replace it with one less... umm...
