TAF Fifi Variant

I was wondering if anyone else has seen this variant of TAF Fifi from the Perm Shoppe. I have the regular one with pink bows/barrettes and one that has bows/barrettes that are more purplish with white highlights on them. They both have the same writing under their feet and I can't find anything else different. Does anyone know where she comes from?

Pink/lavender painted pigments can fade really easily and turn more blue (the red fades out). it sounds like this is the case with the second Fifi, especially since you mention the white highlights- it sounds like she got a lot of sun. :sunny:

I would guess that the original paint colors either separated out or there were multiple layers of paint colors applied and enough has faded to show the white layer. I have similar fading on a few ponies so I have to agree with the others that this is just a case of an aging pony and not a variant.

While she is faded, the pink should be a match to the other, I do see the bows are shaped differently. I'm sure I've seen one like her before with the thinner bows and white paint.

Hmm! I think the paint has faded, but the highlights are something else again. I have never seen a TAF Fifi with white highlights before, so maybe she is a variant! Where did you get her from (ie what state or country)?
