Tales from the carboots (with pics)

In my little seaside town, we have three weekends a year when there is a big carboot sale on the local school playing fields. The nearest decent carboots to me, apart from this, are many miles away, so this is really my big chance to find ponies each year.

So, this year, the first weekend it rained solidly and it was called off . Then the second weekend, I was away the first day, and sick the second

However ... my DH went along the day I was ill, and with the aid of a few phone calls, he did ok :wink: And then this last weekend, the sun shone and the pony luck was with me!

So here they are. First we have a nice group of G3s

Then some G1s ...

Now a few UK G1s ...

And finally ...

It's weird Princess Dawn !!! Note the unpainted symbol and pink tail :lol:

Here she is with her weird princess sisters ...

They're all from carboots. Cute aren't they?

And finally, the pony luck was really with me yesterday when I found this gorgeous girl in Wilko ...

Thanks to Lady Guinevere, who sent out her residual carboot sale pony luck a few months ago. I grabbed myself a little of it and here are the results

There were quite a few of these strange princess ponies made in the UK out of left-over parts :lol: . They often have plain plastic symbols when they should have been painted metallic. Sometimes they have the wrong symbol entirely. Also their manes and tails often don't match. They are mad but cute!
