What you need to bring:
Tent (if sleeping outside totally up to each person)
Pillow
Blanket
Drinks and/or snacks
Whatever ponies you want to
Stuff to trade if you want to

I have floor and couch space (couches first come first serve)

Update June 25th:
My house, July 23-24, that's the next to the last weekend in July. If anyone is intrested we can go tour the Jack Daniels distillery (last time i checked tours were free)
I know it's an odd thing to do at a pony meet but it's a piece of local history. Everyone is welcome to crash at my house. It might be crowded but heck it's a big ol' sleepover anyhow. There are hotels 15 minutes away (or the lynchburg country inn is even closer).
I live in the zip code 37359. I'll be getting directions up soon (probably in e-mail just because I'm paranoid like that)
We'll do games n stuffins. I'm planning stuff out in my head now. Children are welcome and I'll probably set up the dining room as kids headquarters (pull a tv and vcr/dvd player in there and all sorts of cartoons etc) But, 10 pmish saturday night I do plan on adult time.

More on plans as I think them up and anyone with suggestions please feel free to give them to me. I'm not the worlds best hostess, but i'll try to make it fun :)
PS- I forgot ANYONE is welcome to come from ANYWHERE, I just thought about tenn al and ga first off the top of my head.

I'm 4 hours from Atlanta, Georgia; 3 1/2 from Birmingham, AL; and 2 from Nashville, TN (4 from Memphis, 6 from Knoxville) just to give everyone a rough idea.

Hey, we pass through there (Nashville, at least), on our way to Texas (we live in Kentucky), and we're going there the end of July/early August..... ^=^
 
That's right! I remember that.

I keep meaning to get 'holt' of you and get together (i FINALLY have something in the works with our Hally girl! lol)

I'm leaning towards camping too.

It would be in Tennessee guys n gals. About an hour north of Huntsville, Alabama

You know where Im at, Monteagle Mountain. Count me in. Camping is fine. We could always get one hotel room real cheap for the day to go take a shower ect. ...or not:) I go camping every other weekend so peeing in the woods doesnt faze me a bit:) I can also cook on an open fire like no ones business!

Davey Crockett State Park is about an hour west of me. It has a pool and showers etc.

Or there's a campground about 40 minutes from me with a pool and they have two cabins (I have no idea how much or how many they sleep etc, mebe I call them in the next couple of days!)

Looks like there's plenty of people intrested (HIIIIIIIIIIIIII CHELSEA! -hugs- was worried about you!)

I'll get crackin and have 3 or 4 game plans drawn out by this weekend. With and without camping :)
 
i might be able to go... would depend when it is... i can't do anything the first 2 weeks in August as i am going to Wisconsin... but anything after that would be fine...

i think it would be too hot anyway to have one before then.. i also have a tent that could comfortably sleep at least 6 adults. =)

i wouldn't be able to go to anything further than about 4 hours, just can't with these gas prices.
 
*Crosses fingers* Last week in July, early August.... (Hubby said we can take a different route to Texas this year, anyway.... :lol:)
 
It's looking like a lot of people would need it around the last weekend in july (or one bedfore that) I know it would be hot but if we did Davey Crockett it would be nice and shady and stuff (and the pool :)

I will definately keep everyone updated. It's looking like either the 23-24 of July or the 30-31 of July is going to be the best time for most everyone.

Henry horton lodge will not allow us to 'camp out' in it. There are several parks that have group lodges with kitchens. I'm not sure we'd be able to get any of them with the tenative dates and remote locations of them for so many people. So I'm thinking we're back down to my house or a campground. I will say again. I do NOT mind having it at my house, but it would probably be crowded.

Another thing we need to think about is the security of our ponies. Making absolute sure if we go somewhere like a park that we are able to move them back into the vehicles and lock them up (i'd also be willing to bring the ever mean sounding Odin of mine to let us know if people were trying to get into everything, he's a german shepherd and sounds terrifying but he's scared of everything rotf, don't tell him i told you)

And yes Hally it's all a plot on you. I'm going to keep you for myself after the meet bwahahahha

Dogs are welcome at my house. We can put my butthead up in the back (or front, or even at my father-in-laws house) ^_^

It's looking more and more like we need to just crowd up at my place lol. I've got floor space!

Warnings and disclaimers. My house is old, it needs painting, it's stuffed with all my crap. I have two cats and a large German Shepherd. It's musty nad cluttered but not filthy.

^_^ I assure you it would not be the first time a dog went potty in my house if Mr. Percy were to (Trust me cleaning up after him would be a cinch after potty training the butthead I have rotf)

The big things I need is drinks and snacks. Like bring a two liter and a bag of chips ya know?
 
Hally- DVD's would rock, bring whatever you want to. I love card games, so no it's not lame!

Mandi- Shadow said he would love to try some of whatever you wanted to make. he doesn't have to have sugar free stuff because of his pump (he does carb counting and does a sliding scale according to carbs.) Of course he tries to not overdo stuff like that. He says he really appreciates it and would really really highly like it if you could bring some and a the recipie so he can try it out because half his family and half mine are diabetics. Most of them aren't on a pump and have to eat sugar free stuffins. He's the guinea pig a lot of the time for the sugar free stuff lol.

He also says he intends on snitching the sugarey cookies you bring :lol:
